Easel card

Hi everyone , Well it is time for a new challenge at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge, this week we are doing Easel Cards. My card is made using a stamp from Serendipity Stamps. I stamped him in staton then coloured with water and ink I then used to bow glue and added glitter and to finish him off I stamped snowflakes from the serene snowflake set.  I've used the snow flurry die and cut out a snowflake with glitter paper, added my greeting onto a piece of white which was put onto a scalloped piece.  Thanks for looking.

Two Bugaboos Times Two

Hi Everyone here is a card I made today using two Bugaboo Stamps, one is the curlyhaired boy and the other is the furbac ornament stamp. I've colored the image using promarkers and have added some crystal effects to the ornament to give it some definition, I've also added some nail heads under the sentiment for added bling. I've used the Stella Sketch this week as well as the Bingo Challenge at Bugaboo. I used Blue and Brown, die cut ovals, and a bugaboo image for the bingo.

Retirement Cards

Sketch time at Come and Get It this week. Julie has provided us with the sketch.  My card was made for a gentleman that asked me to make him two retirement cards. One if for a male and the other a female, this is what I came up with for the male. The card was made using the Open Sea set from Stampin up along with the Teeny Tiny wishes set. The background of the ship was masked then sponged with Soft Sky and Bermuda Bay. then took the mask off and stamped the ship image in Early Espresso. The designer paper is retired from the Woodland walk set, which  is available as a download. The sentiment was stamped on an oval then sponged with Bermuda Bay, and then mounted onto Artisan Label punch which will be available on May 31st. Oh the Soft Sky and Bermuda Bay are colors coming back into the core colors of Stampin Up as of May 31 as well. Thanks for looking. The second card is not the sketch but the second card I made for the lady retiring.

Think Pink

This week at Crafting for All Seasons, it is the second anniversary of the challenge, and in memory of the founding member  Dawn Austin, we are having a Think Pink Challenge.  I joined the group after Dawn hd left in order to have her treatments, so I'm sorry I wasn't able to get to know her, but this is a cause close to my heart for sure, as I am a survivor of  Breast Cancer, which I was diagnosed with almost 6 years ago. I was lucky enough that they caught it very early and I only had to have radiation therapy and surgery.
One of the best ways to fight this terrible disease, is to have a mammogram, with it detection can come early and then they can treat it if you do have it. Also giving to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation in which ever country you live in will help fund research to find ways to beat this. Anyway also another way you can help is by clicking on the link below and then click on the top bar. It will give a mammogram free of charge to those that can't afford it, and you can do it every day if you wish. Thanks for listening

Cardinal Christmas for Holly Jolly

This week our hostess Paige has asked us to use something or do anything that starts with the first initial of your first name. Ok, I could probably have done anything as card stock is the first initial of my name lol, but decided that wasn't really fair, so I decided to grab a retired set from Stampin Up which I still love and created a card using it. I've also used retired paper on the card as well, trying to use up some of it still.

Blue, Brown and Cream Color Challenge

Over at Come and Get It this week we have a color challenge, our hostess is Judy, and she has given us a color challenge of Blue Brown and Cream. We are also sponsored by Fred She Said, which has beautiful pre colored images as well as plain ones. She also  has some cutting files, so a lot to choose from. I have chosen to use one that I got a while ago and colored her myself in the colors for the challenge. I have also used some paper that is retired in Beau Chateau from Stampin up, and I've used something new as well. Stampin up is coming out with paper clay and has two molds, one for making flower the other for buttons. They are so cute. I made one, and used it on my card. I've used an aqua painter and ink to color the outside of the flower and used brad for the center, yeah it's cool that you can put a brad through it too.

DT Case Challenge at Come and Get It

Julie's card from Kids Birthday

Meighan is the hostess at the Come and Get It Challenge, this week and as asked us to case a card from one of the team members. So for my card I chose to case the kids birthday challenge card by Julie. We are sponsored again this week by Bugaboo. I am using two stamps from them, the first is the flower girl sitter and the second is the swing. I used my photo editing software to put them together into one stamp.
I have used the same layout as Julie as I really liked it, but for the colors I'm using  Coastal Cabana, Strawberry Slush, and Daffodil Delight. The leaves were die cut out of Wild Wasabi.  Oh and the fun roses I made using the new Paper Clay from Stampin Up. I used an aqua painter and ink to color them with Strawberry Slush.  Thanks for looking

It's a Red, White and Blue Christmas this week at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge. The challenge was set by Julie, and this is the card I came up with. The mittens were made using the mitten builder punch and make a mitten set by Stampin Up. Then the sentiment is from the More Merry Messages Set.
