Blog Candy Winner

Hi Everyone, First of all before I announce the winner of my blog candy, I'd like to say thank you to everyone who stopped by my blog and a special thanks to those who left a comment. I didn't extend my blog candy to everyone because by the rules of Stampin Up I'm not allowed to sell outside of Canada, which is why some of the other members of the tour were only allowing Americans to win or someone from their own country. I am happy to say that I enjoyed the tour myself and that I was delighted in reading all the comments that people left. So Thanks to all, for all your support.

Without further delay the winner of the blog candy is Melyane, so if you could send me an email at cvanoorschot@gmail.com, then I'll order your stamp set and have it sent to you directly from Stampin up.
Thanks again to everyone for a great tour.
hugs to all Cindy

Bleached Anemone

I did this project yesterday, I wanted to try sewing on a card with my sewing machine as I hadn't don't that before and I like the results of it, what do you think. Also I had wanted to use the bleaching technique as I've not done it in a while either. So this is the result. I'm happy with the results of this card.
Thanks for looking Cindy

Simple Friendship and Oval All

For this card the background was made using the shaving cream technique, I guess you can tell I've been using my reinkers a lot. Anyway I put in melon mambo, crushed curry, rich razzleberry and bermuda bay, all the new in colors, and made the background The butterfly was stamp from the Simple friendship set from SU, and adhered with dimensionals and added the white pearls to the center, I cut out the labels one die from spellbinders out of a paper paper from the pack with so saffron. The thank you message is from the oval all set and punched with large oval and bordered again using same designer paper and punched using the scallop oval punch. It is all backed on the new Rich Razzlebery cardstock. I just love the new in colors

Polished Stone as a main focal point

ok for this card it was relatively simple, as I did the polished stone affect again. this time I used Melon Mambo, Pixie Pink, and Summer Sun as the colors on the glossy cardstock. After I did this I used versamark pad to stamp the rose from Fifth Ave. Floral on to and then used my gold embossing powder and heat set it, Used my cuttlebug to emboss the white with the Manhatten floral folder, then stamped the sentiment in Melon Mambo and adhered this to pink passion, then cut out and adhered the rose with dimensionals then cut out leaves with cuttlebug and add them.
Very simple, but I like that you can use this technique as a background as well as a main image.
Thanks for looking Cindy

Magnolia Spring Tilda

This is spring Tilda and she was colored with watercolor pencils.
The background for Tilda was a applegreen square done with an embroidery pattern in a multi colored metalic thread, the blue circle in the middle was cut using my cuttlebug and nestabilities. She is placed on with dimensionals and in the corner are punched stars with hot fix silver stars in the middle. I had fun doing her, I just bought her and two other Tilda's to play with. This card was also done for the cute card blog challenge .
Thanks for looking.

Happy New Year

Ok I know its not new years but it is a new year for Canada, as its our birthday and also the start of a new year with Stampin Up. Were so excited to tell you that the new catalogue is for the whole year and there are some great new stamp sets and the in colors are to die for, This card actually has a few of them in it, as I did the background using the rich razzleberry, melon mambo and the crushed curry. The cardstock is also the melon mambo color. It's so pretty. This stamp set is one of the hostess sets called Asian artistry. It is a beautiful set of Asian influence. Anyway hope you like it.
