Red, White and Blue Christmas

It's a Red, White and Blue Christmas this week at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge. The challenge was set by Julie, and this is the card I came up with. The mittens were made using the mitten builder punch and make a mitten set by Stampin Up. Then the sentiment is from the More Merry Messages Set.

Joy Fold Card

This week over at Come and Get It , it is my turn to host the challenge, and I have chosen to do Joy Fold Cards. I think they are an easy fun interactive card and thought it would be neat to see what everyone else does with this fold. I have done one or two in the past but not many. I have used the sunshine and sprinkles designer paper and paired it with Bootiful Occasions, and Rain or Shine. The colors are Mellon Mambo, Pacific Point and Bashful Blue.

Embossing and Ribbon For Holly Jolly

Embossing and Ribbon on a Christmas Card are the only requirements at Holly Jolly this week. Easy you say, well it all depends on how you look at it I guess. I had this card in mind and then I was not sure about the ribbon, so I ended up using it at the top of the ornament. I suppose I could have used a different image and did a different card, but I love these ornaments, so thought better use it again. Anyway my card has both heat and dry embossing on it, the ornament and sentiment were embossed using the Cherry Cobbler embossing powder, the background behind the ornament was embossed using the snowburst embossing folder. and then to give it some glitz I backed it onto some glimmer paper. and added my white taffetta ribbon to finish the card. Primrose, Soft Suede, Brushed Gold and Very Vanilla

This week at Come and Get It, we have a color challenge for you set by Shell, she's asked for us to use pink, gold and brown in our creations. I have used Primrose Petals for my pink, Soft Suede for my brown, and brushed gold card stock for the gold. I've used the stamp set Elements of Style from Stampin Up. The flower is from a die I got from Quilled Creations, that makes flowers by using a quilling tool to roll the flower, the branches are a Martha Stewart punch and the leaves are from the Bird Punch from Stampin Up. The ribbon I used is the very Vanilla Seam Binding ribbon which I dyed using the spritzer bottle along with Soft Suede reinker and rubbing alcohol, makes a great even coverage of the color and dries very quickly.
Thanks for looking. Hope you will hop on over and join us in this challenge.

No Stamps Allowed

Crafting for All Seasons is having a different challenge this time around, it's no stamps allowed, that means you have to make a card or other project, but can't use any stamps on the project.  Which for me was easy, as before I was into stamping I used to do a lot of decoupage, and used stickers for my greetings, so this baby card is exactly that.  I also decided to try my hand at making a circular easel card as well. I think it turned out cute. It just so happened that the next day after making it a friend of mine that buys cards from me regularly needed a new baby card, and I showed her this one and she bought it, so maybe will have to try a few more of them. Humorous Christmas

Hi All, Over at Holly Jolly this week we are making humorous Christmas cards. We are sponsored this week by Bugaboo, which has some delightful characters that have a wicked sense of humor. So for my card I used the one called Stella Christmas- Santa Called for my card. I  think she is so adorable, with her wacky hair and her great sense of humor. I also went with a different color combination for the card too, using Elegant Eggplant and Real Red. Thanks for looking

Creating for Kids

Creating cards for kids this week at Come and Get It and we are sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps, so I have used the Pig Presents stamp from our sponsor. I've colored the image using Promarkers. I used colors that were closed to the Pacific Point, Real Red, and Daffodil Delight as that was the card stock I used to punch out the circles that I added to the white card stock, then embossed with the chevron folder. I also used Pennant Parade set to make the banner in the corner, using the three above colors ink and papers. I love the way it turned out. Thanks for looking.

Creative Folds at Holly Jolly

Cindy

This week Paige is the hostess, and she's asked us to make a card using a creative fold.  I chose to do a diamond fold card.  It's the first time for me to try this fold. I used the retired set serene snowflakes to create my card. I used the colors of Pool Party, Regal Rose and Crumb Cake.  To add just a bit of sparkle, I used some dazzling details in the center of the snowflakes on the side panels.

Floral Delights

This week at Crafting for All Seasons, we are sponsored by a day for daises and for my card I am using the digital stamp called flowers in a teacup. I just thought it was so sweet, reminded me of the forget-me-nots that I see outside in the spring growing wild. Anyway I've used Pacific Point and Rose Red along with Garden Green for my color combination. the designer paper is from the woodland walk set from Stampin Up, the flowers were colored with inks and aquapainter, the pearls were added to the flowers, then the dies behind them are the window flameslits from Stampin up then to finish off the card I used the Rose Red seam binding ribbon, love that ribbon. Music Week at Holly Jolly

It's Music week at Holly Jolly, I love Christmas Music, I have it playing while trimming the tree, making Christmas cards at times, and of course throughout the Christmas season. For my card I have used a little bit of everything, The paper is a piece of digital music paper that I found on Pinterest, then the tree and lettering, are from the set Evergreen which has the words of Silent Night.  I've used co-ordinations card stock in the background sanded down, in early espresso, the paper was printed then distressed and re-inked around the edges, the image was stamped using Always Artichoke, but stamped off first, then the lettering stamped in Early Espresso, and the lace and brad were added, and then the last thing I add was the music note, I picked that up when I was visiting my friend in the states from Hobby Lobby.
