A Masculine Card

Come and Get It has another easy challenge this week, make a masculine project.  I know Father's Day just past, but think of all the men and boys birthdays coming up and do one now and get ahead.  My card is made using The Open Sea set once again, but in a different way.  I have also used  the curly cute set for the sentiment and for added interest added the twine and compass charm. Make it Girly

This time around at Crafting for all Seasons, we have a Make It Girly challenge. We are sponsored by Saturated Canary, which I'm using the beautiful stamp called Sabrina. I've used Promarkers to color her. for all the embellishments, to make it soft I've used some vellum and put it onto a background of Elegant Eggplant. I've also made some flowers with vellum using little leaves and flower fusion dies. and put some pearls in the center of them. for a final touch I used the daffodil delight seam binding ribbon. so soft and pretty. Thanks for looking.

Dashing through the SNOW

Cindy

I'm the host at Holly Jolly this week and have asked to see projects with snow on them. Simple enough I would think for a Christmas project. Anyway my card used three stamp sets, all from Stampin up. The first is Scenic Season, and the second is Welcome Christmas, and then the sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.
I sponged the background, with pink pirouette, so saffron and soft sky. I also used the reflection technique on the snow with the kids and sleigh. Thanks for looking

321 Challenge

Hi, Well it's time again for another challenge at Come and Get It, this week I'm the hostess, and I've chosen a 321 challenge.

3 embellishments
2 designer papers
1 ribbon/twine

For my card I used the Gingham Garden Papers, the Secret Garden Flowers and Framelit dies, The colors are Night of Navy, Melon Mambo, Island Indigo, and Daffodil Delight. For my embellishments I used pearls on the flowers. The ribbon is actually the 1/8 in white ribbon, which I dyed using my Island Indigo ink pad and sponge, and then the sentiment is a silver embossed one I've had for a while. Thanks for looking, now go check out the other designers cards and play along, It's really a simple challenge.

Christmas Sweets

This week at Holly Jolly, we are sponsored by Bugaboo, and Paige is our hostess and she has asked us to create something with Christmas Sweets in mind. I chose the Bobblehead Gingerbread guy for my card, and decided to make him into a bobblehead, using card stock folded accordian style. with dimensionals at either end.  I used liquid applique for the icing, and just thought that turned out cute.  Now hop on over there and see what the other designers have done and lets see them sweets.

For the Men/Boys Challenge

At Crafting for all Seasons this time around, we are sponsored by bugaboo, so you can win some digitial images. I chose not to use a sponsors image this time around, just so I could use a set I hadn't used yet, but have had for quite some time. Clockworks by Stampin UP. a very cool set for using on men's cards, or for graduation time, or whatever. I've used the retired Mocha Morning paper as well as some twine, and a button as well. Thanks for looking.

Ornaments for Holly Jolly

Cindy

Hi All over at Holly Jolly this week Judy is our hostess, and she's challenged us to use or make an ornament this time around. I've used the Ornament Keepsakes set from Stampin up to make my card, it is stamped twice and attached together to give it some pop. I've also used the Seasonal Sayings Stamp Set. I've also used some of the tulle from the Holiday mini catalogue and just folded it and tied in a knot. The paper is from the retired summer smooches. It was in my scrap bin, so decided to use it and I think it worked ok

Color Challenge at Come and Get It

Julie 06-09-13
Cindy

For this week at Come and Get It we have a color challenge, set by Julie. When I first looked at the colors I thought flowers, or a baby card, but I wanted to try something different. For the challenges we can add neutrals into the palette, so I have decided to do that this time around. I sponged the background using the colors for the challenge as well as black, the moon was masked off while sponging, I then stamped the image from Serene Silhouettes set in black onto my background. I chose to use Blushing Bride for the pink as my base, and then added some black, then some wisteria wonder paper which was from the retired paper Berry Blossoms. I finished off the card using 3 pearls from my stash. Thanks for looking

Lots of Layers for Holly Jolly

Cindy

Julie is the hostess at Holly Jolly this week and she's asked us to use lots of layers on our projects this week. I started off with Tempting Turquoise base, The next layer is actually two layers in one, using a technique called inlaid embossing. I cut the white to be 4.25 by 5.25, then added two triangles onto the card using Daffodil Delight, I then ran them through my big shot using a folder from Cuttlebug. I then added another layer of Turquoise and then the image, which is two images, Desiree Sitter, and Candy Cane, I combined them using Paint Shop Pro, printed them out and colored. Then after that was added, I embellished it with a ribbon, button, and twine.
Thanks for looking. Now hop over to the blog, check out the other creations by the DT and join us won't you.

pinwheels and stripes

This is my card that was inspired by the picture over at the Stampin Royalty Challenge blog. I took my inspiration from the yellow stripes, the pinwheels and the jar of lemonade. I have used the Perfectly Perserved, Sweets for the Sweet, and Itty Bitty Banners Sets. The jar was stamped and embossed on vellum, the pinwheels where stamped and sponged in Daffodil Delight and Melon Mambo, the paper is from the Big Top Birthday designer paper. I've used nestabilities and the apothecary accent dies to mount my picture on. Thanks for looking

All About Cats

Cindy

It's all about cats this week at Come and Get It. For my card this week I've used some retired papers and ribbons, and paired it with the stamp set cute cats by Stampin up, which is on MDS, since I don't have any stamps that have cats. So it's a hybrid this week. A simple layout and some cute animals.
