Sketch time at Holly Jolly

Over at Holly Jolly this week it is Judy's turn to set the challenge, and she gave us this sketch to work with, and this is the card I came up with. Other than the sentiment, and die used to cut it out which is from Taylored Expressions. The rest of the card is made using Stampin Up products. I have used the new embossing folder Lacey Brocade, found in the holiday mini which was carried over, for the background, I embossed it using Versamark, then using gold embossing powder. The circle on the left was made with the cherry cobbler and always artichoke card stock, embossed with the vintage wallpaper embossing folder, then the main image is from the Bells and Boughs  set, colored using the gold dazzle marker, and then the leaves and bow were water colored with  ink. I added the pearls from the basic pearls set. and to finish off the card I used the always artichoke seam binding ribbon.

Water Play at Come and Get It

For this week at Come and Get It, we have a challenge set by Shell, she has asked us to use the theme water play, so interpret the way you wish, using all sorts of things, mermaids, fish, beach theme, what ever your fancy. Come join us for all the fun. I have used a little Mermaid for my image from Bugaboo, and have colored her with inks and added some glitter for the tail and bathing top, then added some Crystal Effects for the bubbles, really gives it dimension. I've put her onto a background of embossed bubbles, and added some scallops to make it like waves, but made them to compliment her suit. Thanks for looking

Die Cuts and Punches

This is my card for this weeks die cuts and punches theme at Crafting for All Seasons. It is a sponsored challenge by Kenny K, I've colored the image using Not Quite Navy, Lucky Limeade, and Cajun Craze. The sentiment was stamped in Lucky Limeade, and it has a glitter pen over it which can't be seen in the picture. The foam on the beer is liquid applique which I got from Close To My Heart demonstrator, and I've also used Crystal effects on the beer mug. I used the Extreme Elements and Cheers to you sets from Stampin Up, The cheers to you is the sentiment and the Extreme Elements is the design around the border of the top not die, which was cut twice and the first layer cut with snips around the perforated border. the sentiment was punched out then another die was used for the edging. I've added some paper from the well worn designer paper, and some buttons to finish of the card. Thanks for looking

Tic Tac Toe for Holly Jolly

Julie Bingo-001

Here is my card for the new challenge over at Holly Jolly. We have a tic tac toe challenge for you, the grid is here, and I used the diagonal part of the grid that has embossing, ribbon, and gems/pearls. I know you can see the gems I used, the ribbon is the tulle scalloped ribbon, that I used as the background and wrapped it around the upper layer of the card. The embossing is hard to see, but it is the ornament it is heat embossed using the Cherry Cobbler Embossing Powder. The ornament along with the doilies behind it are all die cut after being stamped. All items on this card are from Stampin Up. The tulle, and the ornament stamps are now longer available, but you can purchase the rhinestones, the ornament dies, and use designer paper for it, and the stamp set that is used behind is Daydream Medallions. and they were cut with the floral frames dies, which can all be purchased here. Thanks for looking

I've used the Be of Good Cheer Designer Paper, and the Christmas Blessings Designer Paper, along with Gold Embossing powder, and Garden Green ink and Raspberry Ripple ink and Ribbon. the card was made using the video from Dawn's Stamping Thoughts to make the center panel longer. I stamped and embossed the image onto very vanilla using versamark and embossed with gold and colored with aqua painter and inks. Stamped the sentiment from the set in Garden Green ink. the paper was cut and then mounted onto very vanilla, then mounted onto the garden green base.
