Happy Anniversary card for Come and Get It

This is an anniversary card that I made for a customer of mine this past week.  She loved the card, but the best part was that she phoned me later to tell me that the recipient of the card just loved it and was so pleased, which of course made my day, so decided to showcase it here and on Come and Get It this week for Anything goes. Thanks for looking.

Both cards use the sketch from the challenge this week at the Paper Players Challenge.
This first card I made uses some of the in colours: Poppy Parade, Peach Parfait, and Pear Pizazz. Along with the Just Believe set, the beautiful wings sizzlet die, the heart border punch, the word window, and modern label punch along with the teeny tiny wishes sentiment. The paper is retired from last year.

Cracked Glass at Come and Get it

Over at Come and Get It this week the technique that Leslie chose was Cracked Glass. This is my card for it. I used the Welcome Christmas set. I stamped it in Soft Suede on Very Vanilla. I then used 3 layers of Thick embossing powder over it and heated each layer, then after the third layer I put one more on and while I was heating it I added some champagne glass glitter. Once that was done I waited for it to go to room temperature and the layers of the embossing powder that was melted cracks to give you the look of Cracked Glass. I then bordered it in Soft suede, and Cherry Cobbler. The base of the card is Soft Sued, on that is a layer of Crumb Cake, which I distressed the edges of it with Soft Suede, I stamped the greeting and then did the ribbon with the brad. Spooky Cute at A La Card Monkey

Hi this week I'm a guest designer at A La Card Monkey. What a great Sketch and the the theme is Spooky Cute. The stamp set is Wicked Cool. The designer paper is Frightful Sight, and I paired it with the Rich Razzleberry 1 1/2 in striped Grosgrain ribbon. the spooky sentiment was cut with the decorative label punch, and I cut it again in grey to make the border as well. I colored the stockings with Rich Razzleberry, and then to finish of the card I added some amethyst nail heads. Thanks for looking

A La Card Monkey Challenge

Hi All:
I don't know who it was that came up with the sketch, Shirley or Terry over at A La Card Monkey, but I have to say wow. I am not a person to use much designer paper on my card, in fact I think two is normally my limit, but with this sketch I've actually used 4 different patterns, and I really like the way it turned out. Of course they are all from the Spice Cake Designer Series Pack,  The stamp sets are Day of Gratitude, and Happiest Birthday Wishes. I used Pool Party, More Mustard and Early Espresso. I also used the decorative label, Large Oval and 3/4 in. circle punch and the lace ribbon border punch, and antique brads. I'd also like to put this into the Stamping Up Only Challenge, which is for leaves this time around.
Thanks for looking.

Paper Players Color Challenge

Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian Friends. I hope you are all having a great day.
This is my card for the Paper Players Challenge, which is a color challenge this week using the colors: More Mustard, Cajun Craze, and Bravo Burgundy. I like everyone else at this time of year think of fall and the beautiful leaves and the colors outside, but I thought lets do something different than leaves for this challenge. I used the colors to create a birthday card, which I think is suitable for either male or female. I used the Up, Up and Away set, along with the Pocket Silhouettes set, the only color other than the three mentioned above is the clouds I created which I used Baja Breeze. Thanks for looking

I'd also like to enter this into the Friday Mashup Challenge this week, which is to be a Halloween card, or a Halloween card with the colors, Black, Pumpkin Pie, Concord Crush and Lucky Limeade. This week I just managed to do the Halloween.

Just Add Ink Color Combo

Well I was just blog hopping tonight, looking at some of the challenges, and I came across the Just Add Ink blog, which I've not been there in a while, and they had  a Color Combo for their challenge.

In this photo you can't see the vanilla shimmer mist used, I scanned a small portion to show you how pretty that shimmer mist is. It is the same card I promise, but of course a scan always changes the colors  which is why I don't like to scan anything anymore. Thanks for looking
