Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge and Blog Hop

Hi Everyone, just a reminder about the Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge and Blog Hop. The design team has been busy as usual to give you a bit more inspiration for the holidays, so go and join in the fun. Lots of prizes to be won from some wonderful sponsors.
This time around I have two projects to show you again, this time using the same image, It is from Fitztown and is called Winter 10. For my first project I have colored it in blue tones, and made it into an easel card. I used the dies from Memory box to make the snowflakes on the card, and I masked the image by printing it on copy paper and then made the background using Smoky Slate and Blue Sky ink to make the sky and then stamped the wonderful trees from Lovely as a tree into the background, I used some glimmer paper down the side, and tied off some ribbon, and made a bow then added a snowflake brad to the center of it.

For my second project I've used the same image, but decided to decorate a gift bag. I've used the same snowflake dies, or at least the border and added some others from the set onto it as well. the background paper is from DCVW and it sparkles as well, so altogether quite happy with it.
thanks for looking

In case you missed my first card you can go here, or you can go to this post and follow the links from the blog hop and see all the great inspiration from the design team.

But anyway for my second card on the hop my choice this time is to use a stamp from Digi Stamps 4 Joy, called Christmas Wreath with Bow. Love the rustic look to the image, and so that's how I wanted to do it, I also love Christmas Music, so I added the two loves onto one card. The flowers are prima, the brads used on the flowers are retired, and the corner Stampin' Up, and the greeting is from a set called Petite Pairs from Stampin' Up.

Merry Christmas From Crafting for all Seasons

Hi everyone, welcome once again, this fortnight we have an anything but a card challenge for you, and the project I have done is something I have wanted to do for a while now. It is a matchbox advent calendar. I used Pool Party card stock along with a matchbox  die to make all the boxes, punching out the half circles from them to be able to open them out, and then glued them together to form a square.  I have used the winter frost designer paper to decorate the sides. The images on the side panel are from Lacy Sunshine, the one is called Snowflake Quality Control, the other is Bubbles skiing, I have used Promarkers to color the images, and then cut them out using a memory box die set which was also used for the border using Silver glimmer paper. The numbers were stamped using Designer Typeset from Stamping Up, the first Photo Polymer set they came out with. Then punched using a 1/2 inch circle punch. The ribbon on the top and bottom is the 3/8 ruffled pool party ribbon from Stampin Up.l  For the top I made the final box and added the lettering dies for the date, and decorated it with a bow, which I also made the foil striped sheet from the designer paper pack.
I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas, and a great 2014.
Thanks for looking.

Hi Everyone, wow, over at Come and Get It Challenges, we've been busy beavers. We have a bunch of new sponsors for the challenge and we also have some fabulous new designers, please welcome Barb, Bunny, Jo, and Roberta.

It's wonderful news for our challenge. A prize can be won almost every challenge next year. so go and take a look at what's happening.

This is a month long challenge, to give everyone time to be with their families over the holidays, but we will be back on the 15th as well with some more inspiration from the wonderful Design Team.
For the first image of the hop I have chosen to work with a Saturated Canary Image from Stamp and Create.

This is Nevaeh, from Saturated Canary, a wonderful image to work with. I've colored her with Promarkers, then I've used my dies from Spellbinders ( scalloped oval), Stampin Up ( oval) , Quilled Creations,( roses and leaves,  Memory Box (corner snowflakes ), and  Taylored Expressions (banner). I've used Pool Party and Smokey Slate card stock, Pool Party seam binding ribbon, and basic pearls from Stampin Up. The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions, and the branches from a Martha Stewart punch. The snowflake die was cut from Silver glimmer paper that I colored using a mister filled with Pool Party Ink and Alcohol. Thanks for looking.

I hope you enjoyed the Hop and that you remembered to pick up the letters needed to spell out the words to win the prizes. My letter is the same as the previous Blog. Thanks for hopping along with us.

The theme again is Christmas as usual at Holly Jolly but this time it is Anything goes. We have some great sponsors and some lovely prizes available to be won. go and check it out. Not only that but we are also welcoming our New Design Team Members Anne, Carol, Linda and Joey. Welcome aboard ladies. Oh and that isn't all, come back on the 18th of the month for some more great inspiration too.

Christmas Robin from Digi Stamps 4 Joy

For my first card I have used an Image from Digi Stamps 4 Joy called Christmas Robin. As you can tell I am a bird lover at heart, so any images with birds on them I just adore. So I had to have this one LOL. I used water colors to color him then fussy cut him out. He is on a Garden Green panel embossed with a holly leaves embossing folder, and then put onto the beaded circle die cut, with the rhinestones. I then used a back panel of Always Artichoke that was embossed with the same folder. I've added the piece of silver glimmer paper, for some interest and sparkle. and used Ridinghood  taffetta ribbon.
Thanks for looking.

My Second card is a Saturated Canary Image- Noelcarols for Stamp and Create. I have colored her with Promarkers, then cut her out and layered her on top of another image, so that I still had the music notes in the background. I've used retired paper behind her as well as Real Red card stock embossed with swirls. the jingle bells are a die cut from Memory Box, which I've cut out of champagne glimmer paper. The ribbon and bow are old olive taffeta ribbon, then I've added some color dots in real red to the top of the card.
Thanks for looking
Cindy
Well that's it for my cards for this part of the hop I hope you've enjoyed them and look forward to seeing you on the 18th. But before you go the letter from my blog is the first letter of the the persons name on the next stop.    Now you will continue onto Anne's blog.

Christmas Gift

Here is my project for this weeks challenge at Come and Get It. Meighan is our host and she has a theme called Christmas Gift. I decided that instead of putting presents on a card I would make a gift. I have used the Milk Carton die, along with Festive Flurry Designer paper, mini clips, jingle bells, pool party twine, Pool Party and Smokey Slate card stock, Pool Party seam binding ribbon and the festive flurry adornment.
I made 4 cartons from the milk carton die and made the carrier. There are three pieces for the carrier,
2 pieces cut at 3.3/4 in by 5.5 inches and scored at 1 inch on all sides, then cut up to the 1 inch mark on the shorter ends. These two pieces make up the box that holds the milk cartons. for the handle cut a piece at 3.5 by 5.5 inches. punch out the handle with the wide oval punch and glue between the two boxes.
I have used the hexagon punch to punch out my images and then hand cut around them once they were attached to the coastal cabana card stock. they are put on with dimensionals. the twine was threaded through the jingle bells tied into a bow and then attached with glue dots. Now go on go over to the challenge blog and look at all the other great projects.

Autumn Colors is the challenge this week at Crafting for all Seasons, I hope you will join us. I have used an image from our sponsor called Goldfish Boy by Kenny K. The bag with the goldfish in it has glossy accents on it, to make it look more real, the sentiment is from Stampin up, of course supposed to be Best Wishes, but changed it using the F from another sentiment in the set. and the little fish are outline stickers I've had around for ages.
