Christmas Gift Box

Hi Everyone, Well it's another challenge at Holly Jolly this week and we want to see your packaging this week in the way of boxes. It can be any kind of box for any kind of gift. I've decided to do a gift box of cards, The picture is only showing two of the cards but I did make six to go inside along with the envelopes. Golden Snowflakes

Hi Everyone, Well over at Come and Get It Challenges this week is Anything but a Card. I've always found this challenging as mainly I do make cards, but I do manage somehow to come up with an idea. I've made a candle once before but didn't like the way it turned out, but to persevere is always been my motto. So here is the latest attempt, and I must say that I love the way it turned out. I used the stamping on tissue paper method to make the candle. I stamped on tissue paper with Versamark ink all the snowflakes, then I embossed them with gold embossing powder. I then melted it onto the candle slowly with my heat tool. I made the tag using the decorative label punch and embossed gold snowflakes on it, stamped the To and From from the Winter Post set, then added the Merry Christmas Greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Scentsational Season

Hi Everyone, here is the card I've made for the Dynamic Duos Challenge this week, it's a monochromatic color scheme of Crumb Cake and Early Espresso. I've used a lot of new items on the card for this.
The Scentsational Season Stamp set and co-ordinating dies , the new Co-ordinations card stock in Early Espresso, The vintage wall paper embossing folder, teeny tiny wishes stamp set, the itty bitty banner dies the antique brads and the Victoria Lace Ribbon.

Non Traditional Christmas

Bingo Challenge for Come and Get It

It's a bingo challenge at Come and Get It and sponsored too. So go check it out and see what everyone is making. I've used Real Red, Rich Razzleberry, and Basic Grey on my card, The sizzlets flowers and swirls are my die cuts, I made the flowers and added gems to the center. I could have used the Die Cuts and Glitter too as I put some glitter on her boa, Or I could have used the ribbon, free, and Punched Shapes too, as I have punched cirlces for the greeting, and ribbon, and the flowers. So as you can see very simple card to put together. Anyway go check it out and have a great week

Heat Embossed Tree

Hi Everyone we have a simple challenge at Holly Jolly for you this week, we want to see some Heat Embossing. So for my card I've used a whole lot of new stuff. The tree is from the new set which you can buy as of August 1 called Evergreen. The paper is also from the Holiday Mini called Festival of Prints. The gold is cut on the edges using the new edgelit from the new Catalogue then we have the cherry cobbler Seam binding, and the sentiment is from the Petite Pairs set. Thanks for looking.

Baja Breeze and Pink Pirouette Christmas

Hi Everyone, well this is one more Christmas card done for this year, I have lots to do, so I've been doing them for a while now, but I do take a break every now and then. Anyway this was inspired by the color combo at Dynamic Duo's this week which is Pink Pirouette, and Baja Breeze. I used it along with a little bit of Crumb Cake, and Very Vanilla. Sketch Time at Come and Get It

Hi Everyone, Over at Come and Get It this week we have a sketch for you, made by me. My idea behind this sketch was a way to use up some of the small embellishments you might have as well as some scrap designer papers. Anyway I decided to make a Christmas card with the sketch this time around,using up some paper from last year, the Frostwood Lodge and Jolly Jingles paper. along with the embellishment is the retired felt holly. Angelic Joy

Angels are the theme at Holly Jolly this week, selected by Judy. I pulled out my Angelic Joy set that came out a couple of years ago I think and I just love this lady. I've colored her with the New Raspberry Ripple. The paper is from this year as well it is the Be of Good Cheer set, lovely paper. The buttons are a die cut and added some white baker's twine. The ribbon is dyed to be the night of Navy to match the blue card stock she is on. I cut her out and mounted her on that, so she's more dimensional. Also you can't see in the picture but I did use a glitter pen on the wings and a bit on the folds of the dress, gives it a nice sparkle without being over powering.

Birthday Celebrations

Hi Everyone, Well over at Come and Get It this week, we have a Color Challenge for you, Some bright and sunny colors. We are also sponsored this week and so for my one card I used the sponsors image, and colored her dress in Calypso Coral, her Apron and Hair using Daffodil Delight and the icing on the yummy cake was done in Pool Party. I cut them out using the framelits dies, then I colored some flowers from my stash using re-inkers and water, then put them onto a piece of the paper from last years Domestic Goddess Paper, then put it onto Calypso Coral, Added a few extra pearls and I was done. For my other card, I used the Mixed Bunch Set, The edglet die, along with the three colors, and made the beautiful flowers. The paper is from the Sale-A-Bration  Everyday Enchantment Paper. Then a button in daffodil Delight was added to the center flower, and the greeting from Curly Cute was added and the card is done.

Acrostic "Christmas" Challenge

Over at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges this week we have a new challenge for you called Acrostic Christmas. How it works is take two letters from the word Christmas and use something about Christmas related to the letters. Such as C: Candles, Carol, H: Holly, Heavenly, anyway you get the idea, So for my card, I've used one of our Sponsors Images, and used the letters R - Red, H- Holly, M- Merry, C- Candy Cane, S- Sparkle on his hat.

Beautiful Dragonflies

Bugs are the theme at Come and Get It this week. Julie is the hostess and has asked us to use bugs on our cards. I decided to use Dragonflies. The stamp sets are Bugs and Kisses, Inspired by Nature, and  Loving Thoughts, the Bugs and Kisses is retired, so is the Inspired by Nature, but is available through MDS. The Colors used are Pacific Point, Melon Mambo, and Lucky Limeade, The bugs were stamped twice on vellum then cut out, and the top wings were then glittered using two way glue and dazzling diamonds. Then mounted on the card with dimensionals. The sentiment was stamped then cut out using our new bitty banner dies.
