Birthday Flowers

Hi Everyone, well this is a card made for the A la Card Monkey Challenge, with Terry and Shirley. They have some simple sketches to use and a theme to go with them. It's a great challenge for all types of stampers, beginners to advance, so go over and take a look. Anyway I used the set Called Button Buddies on this card. The vase was stamped twice and cut out and put on with dimensionals to give it a 3d look, The flowers are buttons in perfect plum and rose red. ribbon is also rose red, it's the seam binding ribbon, love it. the sentiment is from Perfect Pairs. and I used the Striped embossing folder on the black background and added rose red paper to it, from the subtles stack of papers. I did the stripes up and down so it kind of reminds me of wainscotting. I finished off the card by adding some rhinestones to the vase, in the corner and on the sentiment.
Thanks for looking.

The card stock used is Early Espresso, More Mustard, Pool Party, The ribbon is the 5/8 Satin ribbon in Early espresso, I used the Triple Treat Flower Stamp to make the flower, punching out each layer, the sentiment is from Sincere Salutations. Thanks for looking

Anything Christmas

Over at Come and Get It this week we have anything Christmas, This is the card I made for our theme. I used the cracked glass technique once again, stamped it in Soft Suede, then layered clear embossing powder over it and melted it and put in some glass glitter during the 3 layer, then added one extra layer before I cracked it. I then mounted it on Real Red card stock. I put it on to a piece of soft suede that I had embossed with the square lattice die, then did the ribbon treatment, which is just folding the ribbon back and forth to make 2 loops on either side, I tied it with string, then I made the centre piece. which is one of the Autumn spice buttons, with a layer of Real Red, and very vanilla, then stamped the holly from the Tags till Christmas set, and added the gold embossed sticker lettering, Peace, Love and Joy. Thanks for looking.
Cindy I will also enter my card into the following two challenges.

Quick and Easy Parchment Card

Here is a card I did today, It's a quick and easy parchment card, I used to do this craft before I started stamping and doing other cards. So it's kind of neat to get back into it again even if it is the quick and simple type. Anyway the elements were are pre printed on parchment so I just had to cut out, emboss them, then put them together with some dimensional glue. Thanks for looking. I've also entered it into the
Unstampabelles challenge

Center Step Card

I used the Beautiful Season Set for the main image, and Holiday Happiness for the sentiment. the paper is from last years Deck the Halls. I bought the set digitally as I loved it and this way I can use it when I want, just print and go.The other paper is non stamping up.The ribbon is taffeta 3/8 in in Riding Hood Red. The image was coloured using inks and blender pen with garden green, always artichoke, riding hood red, soft suede, crumb cake  Thanks for looking.

Hummel Christmas

This is a card I made this week, I've been doing some quick and easy cards, well relatively quick, anyway this is a M.J. Hummel picture done using the 3d paper tole, I love the images and they make great cards. Anyway found a new challenge which is right up my alley, as I normally don't post a lot of my none stamped cards here, as I usually post mainly challenge cards. I do over 400 a year, and I do from embroidery to 3d to stamping and also embroidery with beads, and every now and then I dabble in punch art, or in iris folding. So look forward to sharing more of these types of creations in the future. The snowflakes on this card are a die cut from the northern frost die and are put on with silver brads, and I used my mat pack and piercing tool to go around the layered edge to give it some more detail. I'll enter this into a new challenge I've just found called
Unstampabelles Challenges.

Sketch Challenge

Hi Everyone this week at Come and Get it we have a Sketch Challenge for you, it is a fairly simple sketch made by Leslie. I decided that for this week instead of making a stamped card I've done something I haven't done recently, which is a 3 dimensional one. I do these occasionally, and when I do craft shows I sell quite a number of them. This week's version of it is a little Morehead Angel, she's such a cutie.  All of the card stock and designer papers are from Stamping up, the ribbon from my stash, and the sentiment is from the teeny tiny wishes set. I'll also enter this into the Just us Girls Color Challenge, of Red White and Green.
Thanks for looking.

The image was coloured on Naturals white, and just to add a touch of bling, I used the silver glass glitter around the image. Cracked Glass at Come and Get it

Over at Come and Get It this week the technique that Leslie chose was Cracked Glass. This is my card for it. I used the Welcome Christmas set. I stamped it in Soft Suede on Very Vanilla. I then used 3 layers of Thick embossing powder over it and heated each layer, then after the third layer I put one more on and while I was heating it I added some champagne glass glitter. Once that was done I waited for it to go to room temperature and the layers of the embossing powder that was melted cracks to give you the look of Cracked Glass. I then bordered it in Soft suede, and Cherry Cobbler. The base of the card is Soft Sued, on that is a layer of Crumb Cake, which I distressed the edges of it with Soft Suede, I stamped the greeting and then did the ribbon with the brad. A La Card Monkey Challenge

Hi All:
I don't know who it was that came up with the sketch, Shirley or Terry over at A La Card Monkey, but I have to say wow. I am not a person to use much designer paper on my card, in fact I think two is normally my limit, but with this sketch I've actually used 4 different patterns, and I really like the way it turned out. Of course they are all from the Spice Cake Designer Series Pack,  The stamp sets are Day of Gratitude, and Happiest Birthday Wishes. I used Pool Party, More Mustard and Early Espresso. I also used the decorative label, Large Oval and 3/4 in. circle punch and the lace ribbon border punch, and antique brads. I'd also like to put this into the Stamping Up Only Challenge, which is for leaves this time around.
Thanks for looking.

Paper Players Color Challenge

Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian Friends. I hope you are all having a great day.
This is my card for the Paper Players Challenge, which is a color challenge this week using the colors: More Mustard, Cajun Craze, and Bravo Burgundy. I like everyone else at this time of year think of fall and the beautiful leaves and the colors outside, but I thought lets do something different than leaves for this challenge. I used the colors to create a birthday card, which I think is suitable for either male or female. I used the Up, Up and Away set, along with the Pocket Silhouettes set, the only color other than the three mentioned above is the clouds I created which I used Baja Breeze. Thanks for looking

Just Add Ink Color Combo

Well I was just blog hopping tonight, looking at some of the challenges, and I came across the Just Add Ink blog, which I've not been there in a while, and they had  a Color Combo for their challenge.

In this photo you can't see the vanilla shimmer mist used, I scanned a small portion to show you how pretty that shimmer mist is. It is the same card I promise, but of course a scan always changes the colors  which is why I don't like to scan anything anymore. Thanks for looking
