Weekend Project

I went away this weekend to a friends place. It was a lovely time. We were supposed to get together in November last year to make one of the rosette wreaths but unfortunately due to the bus strike I couldn't get up to her place, and since she has a little dog to look after, it wasn't feasable for her to come here. Anyway it was a great time and we did make the wreaths. Spent Saturday afternoon working on them and then went out for a nice Chinese Buffet dinner, then went back to her place and watched the hockey game, and continued a bit on the wreaths. We got up this morning and started working on them again, took a break at lunch and had sandwiches and yogurt for lunch and then put the finishing touches on the. I'm very pleased with the way mine turned out. Her's was just as pretty too. Thanks for looking. Cindy

Vacation Time at Come and Get It

Welcome to March a time for Vacations here in Canada, especially for the kids in school and the teachers as we have the March break time. So going with this Leslie decided on Vacation as the theme for this months theme challenge. So I decided to do a card with a beach theme. I am using a new set to me, called Plant Hope. I've used the Palm tree from this set, and colored it with Old Olive, Garden Green, and Chocolate Chip. I sponged the background of the card using Crumb Cake, Baja Breeze, and Bashful Blue, I used the birds from the Uncharted Territory stamp set. Thanks for looking.

Made Stamper's Showcase this week

Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to touch base and say hi, and say that I made the Stamper's Showcase over at Stamping 411 this week. They pick the top 5 our of their submissions on their sketch challenge to be in the Showcase. So I was thrilled that I got chosen this week with my pearlized flowers. Thanks Stamping 41.

I'll be back Sunday with a card for the come and get it challenge, and then also a pic of a wreath that I'm making, I am doing one of the paper rosette wreaths up at a friends house, were each making one. Looking forward to getting away for a day or two. Have a great weekend and see you soon.
