This was a simple birthday card I did for one of the superintendants that I work with at the condominium. He liked it as it reminded him of Newfoundland, which is where he is from.

Skiing

Skiing is a big time winter sport, one that I've personally never tried it, but love the idea of this snowman going for a ride on them. Anyway just love this snowman and wanted to use it again on another card.

Warm Holiday Wishes

Ok this card came about when playing with some alcohol inks. I used a cranberry, gold and eggplant colors by adirondak on glossy cardstock and blended them with blending solution, which came up with this very nice color, thought it was too nice just to stay in the background and thought it looks like a varigated wool, so alas came the idea of die cutting the paper into mittens. I hope you like them. I've been trying to get myself into trying new things with stamps and inks.

Distress Inks and Chipboard

The first card is a birthday card that I used two different distress inks on the background of it. and then used some distress ink on the flower it self, for the leaves I used some really old looking green paper on it, then distressed the edges with sandpaper and inked them with a dye ink a darker tone of green. and put a touch of stickles gold glitter in the center of the flower. The card itself is an old vintage double sided cardstock I had and the tag is using the otherside of the paper for the inside part stamped the saying and bee with black ink.

The second card is again made with this double sided cardstock that I have, part of the same pack as the first one, one side is the red and the other side is the stripe. the chipboard flowers are done with dye ink in strawmat color and distressed and used teabag distress ink on the outside and in the middle then a red rhinestone in the center. The butterfly is done teabag distress on the antennae and the body, then the whole thing is done in the redbrick distress ink, then I had some tiny amber rhinestones which I added on and red onto the antenae. For the saying I used embrace life. from stampn' up. The slider was made with a rectangle piece of the same paper and just used ribbon punch from stampn up to make it into a slider. found some old looking ribbon and attached to card, with slider.

Post it Note, Snowmen Holders

This is a post it note holder that I've been making for all the seniors that are coming to our Christmas dinner next weekend. So far we have 32 coming. I've made 40 so if we have some extra people come at last minute then I'll have enough or maybe give one to each of the helpers. They are simple to make.

I actually like the way they turned out. Hope everyone is having a great weekend an will talk to you more soon. Hi All
Well not a whole lot to say It's been a very hectic couple of weeks. I've been having some health issues still with the nerves in my legs which they've not been able to figure out what's going on as of yet, and I was on a week off work figuring on getting a bunch more Christmas cards done, but then got a phone call from my brother that my father had passed away. So I had to fly out to Winnipeg and get to Brandon for the funeral this past Monday and then Fly home again, so I got home on Tues. late, and went back to work on Wed. So that's about all that's happening. I'm hoping to spend a great deal of time working on more Christmas cards this weekend as hubby is working. We'll see what happens. Catch you all soon.

I'll post some of the Christmas cards that I've done recently in the next few days. I'll be on vacation over the next week so I may have some time to put in a few new cards and things I've been working on.

Red and Black ATCs

These are two atc's that I made for a red and black swap. the japanese lady also has gold glitter on her dress and also some on the flowers in the corners. The gold on the flower one are embossed peel off stickers.
Enjoyed making these.

Black and White Card

this is one of the cards that I've done for the black and white swap I'm in. The vase was stamped twice. The first one is the bottom layer , then I put the roses into the vase and then stamped a second time and put it on top of the first layer to give the effect of a proper vase of flower.

The theme was black and white, and I must say it is very striking to look at.

card caddy

This is the front of one of the card caddys I made for a swap. I know that when some people make these they put cards of the same theme into them. I was thinking of doing that, but then decided that I would add 4 different cards into them. I was happy with the final results. I hope the ladies I made them for will be happy with them.
Cindy

Teabag folded cards

These are two cards I made for a teabag folding swap that I'm in. I enjoy doing teabag folding every now and then. Both of these folds I'm not sure of who came up with them but are very nice. My friend Carrie shared them with me and they were a lot of fun to do Thanks Carrie.

Triangle tri fold card

This is the first of these cards I made. I used a combonation of stamp'n up stamp and stamps from SeeD set that I have with a friendship verse.
I enjoyed making this card. I've since made a couple more which I'll post at a later date when I have a chance to scan them, but they are slightly larger in size.

Multi Stamp Swap Cards.

These were made for another swap at CMBH. The first is using an all night media Japanese set. I used the bamboo for the background on the faux silk and then stamped it in gold on the black and then stamped the Japanese lady on red. The second is using a bug set from Stampn' up. They were both fun cards to make.
Cindy

Thank you Cards

Summertime

Another swap, this time the theme was summertime. I love this set of stamps from Stampn' Up. I colored them with Marvy Le Plume markers doing with watercoloring technique. The background is done using paisley embossing folder and cuttlebug.
Cindy

Shaped Cards

These are another two swap cards. The theme of the swap was shaped cards, they had to be anything other than a square or rectangle. So I did Octagons, and then added circles and 3D images onto them. I like the way they turned out. I think that we don't experiment with different shapes often enough as we all tend to do squares or rectangles as they are easier to cut. Anyway it was a fun swap to do.

Rose Cards and matching ATC's

Here is a rose card with matching atc that I made today. I used the cuttlebug to do the background of the card, then punched out the hearts and made 3d roses for the front. It worked out perfectly as the sheet had a smaller rose of the same type. Oh this is for another swap. I'm trying to catch up on.
Cindy

Summertime ATC's

These are some summertime atc's that I did for another swap. I did 6 since I like to keep two for myself. I've not decided which one's I'll keep for me yet.

Baby Card

Hi Everyone:
Well today I'm off to a baby shower for the property manager where I work. They have adopted a baby boy from somewhere in Africa and they are awaiting his arrival. Her Sister and friends are having a shower for her and this is the card that I made to go along with the gift.
The inside sentiment reads:
A home where a child
is welcomed and loved
is the happiest home
anywhere.
Amber and Ali
Wishing you
and your new son
a lifetime filled with
love and happiness.

Double Diagonal Folded Cards

This is one of two Double Diagonal folded cards that I did. I used double sided cardstock to do the fold instead of paper like in the tutorial at splitcoast stampers. the tags have flowered paper with a flower of the two different colors of the cardstock and then I put the words Happy and Birthday on them and to tie it all together in the them put a birthday cake on the front of them.
Cindy

Gatefold Sympathy

This is a sympathy card that I made for a lady that lives in the condo where I work. She wants to send it to Jamacia and I'm happy that she liked it. It's another gatefold card with a simple verse on the inside.

Cindy

Red ATC's

Here are the red atc's I made for a swap at CMBH, one of the groups I belong to. I used stamps to make them the cupcake one is from a new small set that I just purchased and added some glitter onto the icing so that it shone a bit. The other stamp is a bow of flowers I borrowed from a friend with the buzzing lady bug.

The butterflies are stamped and embossed with white on black then cut out, the antenae are stamins for flowers painted black and put on with tape, then the butterflies are put on with silicone to give it dimension. The word Dream is a vinyl black stickers I've had around for ages, and the background is swirls done on the cuttlebug. Cindy

Here are a couple of Friendship cards done. They were done using scrap paper and cut it with a rotary tool into curved pieced, laid out on the card with Friendship stamped in corresponding colr and flowers and brads added afterwards. Great way to use up some of the scraps around.
