Red, Glitter and Ornaments

It's a bingo Challenge over at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge this week. I've decided to use the first row of Red, Glitter and Ornaments as my choice for a card. The Colors are Real Red and White. the Ornaments are stamped from the Delightful Decorations set, with exception of the plain one which is punched from the red glitter paper. The sentiment is from the Petite Pairs set, stamped directly on the card. The Snow Flurry embossing folder was used on the card as well. You will see some spots on there that is gold glow shimmer mist and there is also some vanilla sprayed on it as well. So in real life it is really shimmery and shinny. Thanks for Looking

Sketch Challenge at Come and Get It.

At Come and Get It this week we have a sketch challenge, a simple sketch by Leslie, I think it has numerous possibilities, and have done a couple of cards with it already. The first card was using an image from our sponsor. I paper pieced the little guy's outfit and then used the same paper in the background. A simple but cute card, I also used the Tiny Little Bits set from Stamping up for the stars in the background.
The color combination is So Saffron and Concord Crush.

Put a Song in Your Heart for Holly Jolly

Julie is the hostess at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge this week and she's asked for caroler/ or carolers, it can be people, animals or whatever. I decided to make a 3d card for this challenge. I have this little girl in a number of colors for Christmas. She's so cute, I used my Music Wheel from Stampin Up to make the background paper, stamped in Marina Mist. I used Night of Navy and Marina Mist card stock and the sentiment is from the Cardinal Christmas set, which is now retired. Actually the ribbon is now retired too. I really will miss the 5/8 satin ribbon. Oh well lots of new goodies coming my way soon. Anyway thanks for looking

Mother and Child

This is a card I made today. The sewing is done with Guitermann's silk thread and metalic gold thread. I've done a number of embroidered cards in the past, they take time, but it's worth the end result. The greeting on the card is simple, to let the embroidery shine. Thanks for looking. I'll enter this card into the Merry Monday Challenge.

Flower Pot Card for Come and Get It

Hi Everyone, Shell is the hostess at Come and Get It this week, and she has a really simple challenge for us this week. We are to have flowers and butterflies on our cards. I decided I would make a Flower Pot Card this time around, it's been a while since I've done one of them.  I have used Cajun Craze for the flower pot and the base of the inside card. For the flowers I've punched some of the fancy flowers out of Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight, I also made the other petals using my sizzix and cutting them using the fun flowers die. I used the centers from that die as well and then I used a couple of buttons and a brad to finish of the flowers. The little card is naturals white and the saying is from curvy verses and then I used the beautiful wings embosslit to make the butterflies out of poppy parade as well and added them on. The leaves were made with the blossom builder punch. I ran the Cajun Craze base through with the square lattice folder just to the base part, and i punched the top with the scalloped border punch and then added the ribbon with the 5/8's daffodil delight ribbon that I've got in my stash.
Thanks for looking. I will also enter this card into the following challenges.

Elements of Style

Here is my card for the Dynamic Duo's Challenge this week. Love the fun bright colors they chose. I decided to use the great set Elements of Style, for my card. the only thing that might not be seen too well on the photo is the bird is 3D, as I cut out the bird fully the first time and the second time with the wing and body only and popped it on top of the first one and then popped the bird up on the card. Thanks for looking.
