NEW MINI CATALOGUE PREVIEW

Hi Everyone, this is a preview for the new Mini Catalogue and the Sale-A-Bration brochure as well.
This card is done with a brand new stamp set which you can get on wood or as a clear mount. Yeah Stamping Up is using the same great rubber, but putting it on cling so that you can use them on your acrylic blocks. and if you choose to go this route, it will save you money too as they are cheaper to purchase. Anyway also the designer paper I used is from a new set of papers as well. Wait till you see all the new stuff Stamping Up has to offer, and to boot it's Sale-A-Bration time again too. So that means lots of free things for you to get with every $65.00 order,
Ok enough said, this is a set everyone will want, it is called Something sweet, It features, a gumball machine, or you can make a large flower or you can make a rattle, or a fish bowl even. It's a great set and you can also use it with the 1 3/4 in punch and the sweet treat cups to make it a really sweet thing. I just used as is with making it into a gumball machine, stamped in melon mambo, and then the gums are melon mambo and rich razzleberry, love those two colors. The paper is from the new pack of paper called welcome neighbor. It is a mini book of 6 by 6 paper, with 72 sheets, that's 3 sheets of 24 designs. Alot of paper that you can treat yourself to when purchasing $65.00 worth of merchandise, and if you want the co-ordinating stamp set, then spend $130, which if your anything like me, very easy to do. The sale starts on Jan. 5, and runs through until the end of March, so you've got lots of time. Host a workshop and you can earn even more. To contact me, call the number on my header or send me an email to cvanoorschot@msn.com.
Thanks again for looking and have a great evening, and hopefully I'll be back again tomorrow with another great set you can get.

Christmas Wreath Card

Ribbon Wreath Easel Card

Hi everyone, well I am still in the Christmas mode, so I'm still working on a few Christmas cards, I know Christmas is over, but there is always next year, in fact I've been given an order already for next year, from one of my regular customers. I made him 40 this year and he wants the same for next. so I can always box them until then. Anyway I'm also planning on doing a craft sale in Oct. after thanksgiving here in Canada, so people will be looking for Christmas things. So figure I will need a bunch for that as well. So I'll be working on Christmas for a bit, but I also want to share some other stuff, as I will be making sets of cards for boxes, some of the money cards and gift card holders, as it's a big business here where a lot of people are using them to give as gifts. Anyway here is a card I did.
I used our new corner punch which will be available out of our new mini catalogue coming out Jan. 5, along with the scalloped border punch which is in the Sale-A-Bration brochure. You can earn it for free by buying $65.00 worth of product or by hosting a workshop and having $395. in sales.
Each time you spend $65.00 you receive a free gift out of the Sale-a-bration catalogue or a set out of the regular catalogue that stamping up is offering, Details on what that is to come.

Ok for the card I used the following

Card Stock: Real Red, Glorious Green and Whisper White
Designer Paper: Real Red from designer pack.
Ribbon: from my stash
Punches: Scallop Trimmed Corner, Scalloped Trim Border, Scalloped Oval and Large Oval,
Stamps: Short and Sweet
Ink: Real Red
Brad from Pretties Kit

Last Minute Gift Idea

First of all I'd like to wish each and every person out there a Very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year.

Hey all, I am heading over to a friends today for Christmas Dinner, and she has three young boys that are into all sorts of different things, so instead of buying them gifts I've decided to give them each a little money, as all kids like to go to the store and pick out something. I know they get money from other people, so this will add to what they have and be able to get what they want.
Anyway here is a neat idea I found on another web site, can't say which one cause I've been on so many
It can be used as a money or gift card holder and It can be done up quick and easy

I did all three of them the same, Use your big shot and die cut 3 top note dies for each one, actually you only need two and then 1/2 one. Decorate one of them to use as the front, in my case I used the sparkly and bright set . I used versamark ink to stamp the sparkle all over randomly, then I used the saying to stamp in real read to stamp the greeting. I punched out a curly label die and stamped in green the stocking and colored the rest in with my stamping write marker of real red, then used versamark over the whole thing and used heat and stick powder, great for all over coverage, and then heat it up and it becomes a clear glue and put the dazzling diamonds over it. then used a die to cut out the bigger label in real red and then put it behind the curly label. wrote on the inside and inserted the money and put it together by punching a hole in the top with my big bite, and used a small gold brad to hold them together.
Thanks for looking.

Mojo Monday 117

Here is my card for the Mojo Monday sketch this week. I used a PB stamp and it was a birthday spring stamp, but I changed it by putting some glitter and flocking on the bottom to create the snow where the flowers are and made the present into colors for Christmas. Anyway thanks for looking. This card also covers the challenge at Moxie Fab world, for all creatures great and small.

Stamping 411 Challenge

I missed last weeks sketch cause I couldn't see very well do to anything due to the Iritis I have, I still have it but not near as bad and it's not hurting anymore, so I did do the challenge for this week.
As soon as I seen the sketch before I looked at the design teams cards I knew I had to use the delightful decorations set. I think I will try another one later using something different. but I have to finish making coat hanger Christmas trees first, as I want two of them for gifts for people at work. I like to give handmade gifts when possible. Anyway here is my entry for the first one, I also used the short and sweet set for the words. The swirls are the swirls die by sizzix.
Thanks for looking see ya soon

Double Gatefold Card

Haven't been doing a lot this week due to a problem with seeing, I've got what is called iritis, it is an inflamation of the iris part of the eye, I'm on cyclogel and prednisone drops for it, which is helping, but it takes time. I seen the specialist today and instead of taking the prednisone drops every hour its now every two hours and I go back to see him next week. So it's difficult to concentrate on anything with it causing my vision to blur.

This is a double gate fold card that I did today. The front is the first picture shown, then the second is the inside after you open the front, and the last picture which has the shadow is the inside with the verse.
The outside is done with the serene snowflake set, the inside is done with the snow swirled set, The saying says: May the true spirit of Christmas fill your heart with peace, your home with love, the other words underneath is Season's Greetings from the snow swirled set. The designer paper is from the Merry Moments set. All the stamping was done with versa mark and embossed with Gold embossing powder. and there is a gold ribbon on the outside to tie it all together. The card stock used is very vanilla and old olive. Also used the eyelet border punch on old olive strips and attached to inside panel with snail adhesive.
Thanks for looking.

Loads of Love Christmas

This I made also using the sketch at Stamping 411. This time I used the loads of love set, I love this little pickup truck but have to learn to color it better. Oh well in time I will. I also used crystal effects to give the windows a sheen to look like glass, it's hard to tell, but looks great in real life. The rest is pretty straight forward. Again thanks for looking
Cindy

Lovely as a Tree Christmas

For this card, I used the sketch from the Stamping 411 challenge. Great blog if you haven't been there before.

First of all as soon as I seen the sketch I knew the stamp set I wanted to use. It just fit perfectly. Also the colors of what I wanted to do fit as well.
I first of all cut my card stock at 4.5 by 11 and folded it at 5.5. I then cut a piece of white card stock 4.25 by 5.25, and embossed it with my big shot using the dots template, I then put the ribbon onto it, it is 1/4 in navy grosgrain. I then cut my background paper for the tree at 3.5 by 2.5 and cut the white at 3.25 by 2.25. I stamped the tree in night of navy, then over stamped it with versa mark ink and used the heat and stick powder on it with glitter. I then used versa mark on a small square sheet of white and put heat and stick and then glitter. I then punched out the white snowflake and blue snow flake used my mat pack and piercing tool to make the hole and used a small silver brad to attach the snowflakes together, off setting them. I adhered them to the card using glue dot. The tree is adhered to the blue then adhered to the card with dimensionals. Then I stamped the merry Christmas from the teeny tiny wishes set onto white punched out with window punch and then the modern labels punch. I then adhered it also with dimensionals. and the card was finished.
Thanks for looking.

More Ornaments

Hi All here are a couple more ornaments that I've done recently, I used Swarovski Crystals and Pearls on these ornaments, so they are a bit pricey to make but then they look so pretty.

The first one is called icicle, then the other two are angelica, the first one is the original pattern for it and the second is a variation, instead of ribbon I attached the cover to the ornament with a ring of seed beads. Thanks for looking.

Beaded Ornaments

Hi Everyone, Something a little different to show you, These are two ornaments that I've made I haven't done them in a couple of years, and thought I'd like to make a few. The first one cost me about $20.00 to make in beads and the ornament, but the time it took was about 25 hours or so, the second one doesn't cost as much and also doesn't take as much time. I've been asked if I would sell them, the first I'm not selling as it wouldn't be worth it, but the second I said I would, oops a mistake now I have to make 8 of them. So I'll be busy doing these for a while, and I have a few other's I'd like to make for myself. So anyway that's what I've been up to this week.
Take care, and thanks for looking

Designer Paper: Holiday Lounge
Card Stock, Bermuda Bay, Soft Suede
Extras: SU gold cord, star charm from stash, diamond texture plate, big shot, gold embossing powder

Warm Winter Wishes

Hi Everyone, I really liked the sketch from Stamping 411 so decided to give it another go. This time I used the level 3 the more the merrier set, and all the new in colors for coloring and the background papers and cardstock. I also added an element, hope they don't mind. I added the snowflake in the corner, punched it out then covered it in glitter, doesn't show well in the scan but looks cool in person, also added glitter to the bottom under them as well. Oh and I left off the ribbon, so the punched snowflakes on the scallops would show up better.
Thanks again for looking.

Poinsettias

This is a card I did today. It is actually the sketch from Stamping 411 Challenge, and also falls in line for the Stamp with us challenge theme of Christmas.
The base is real red followed by the green designer paper Merry Moments. then another piece of real red followed by whisper white, I used a piece of the red and ran it through the big shot with the petals of plenty embossing folder then scalloped the edge, the ribbon is dyed with the old olive ink since I ran out of the old olive ribbon, and the stamp used was from teeny tiny wishes. The flowers were from my stash.
Thanks for looking.

Jingle Bells

This is another of the beaded embroidery cards I've done. It also falls into the challenge over at the winter wonderland blog. I've been doing a lot of them lately and as fast as I can make them they are being sold, so I guess I'd better keep making them.

I've got 4 done so far, so will do another one tomorrow and then I'll finish putting them together as cards for her. Thanks for looking.

Hi Everyone, These are two cards I've come up with for a workshop tomorrow. The hostess asked for Christmas themed cards, so this is what I've come up with. The first uses embossing folder petals a plenty and the Snow Swirled Christmas set, the second one used, Delightful Decorations and Teeny Tiny Wishes set. They are both pretty straight forward so hopefully the guests will enjoy making them. As a bonus I'm also going to have them make the post it note holder. very simple yet practical.

Big on Christmas

For this card I used two different stamp sets, and some pearl ink and markers.
First I stamped snowflakes from the serene snowflakes using the pearl ink , then I also dabbed it on the tag, then stamped the tag using stazon ink. I then colored in the tag using markers: ballet blue, basic black, pumpkin pie, ruby red and garden green. Added the ribbon from my stash and the card was done. This was done for the stamptacular sunday challenge which said to use a tag on anything. I like there challenge as it's something different each week.

Christmas Angel

Here's a card I did, that the angel is embroidered on red in gold, then I used the big shot to cut out and then added it on a background I made and then used the modern label punch and the word window punch to make the label for it and put it all together. Really haven't done much this week as I've been bothered by the arthritis in my hands, it's actually the tendons that are inflamed and cause my fingers to lock up, which is why this is the first post since the challenge for stamptacular.

baby tags and box

This is an order that I just finished making. It was for a lady that is making gift baskets for babies and wanted me to make the tags to go on the baskets. She asked for ten in total, 2 in each colour, white, pink, blue, yellow and green. I stamped a bunch of different images and colored them in and attached them to the tags, a couple of them I stamped right onto the tag and then some of them I popped up as well. Then I decided that I needed something to take them to her and I thought a small box was in order, so I made the box and put them in and added the label baby tags to it, figuring on if she starts to run out then she can call and ask me to refill the box.
Well that's it for today. Oh and the challenge for this week at Stamptacular is to make anything but a card so I guess this rates. +

Embrace life

Here's a card I made using the Embrace life set, The flower is watercolored using the same technique as the previous post. I then stamped and colored the vine from the set and mounted the flower over the vine and adding a pearl for the center. I sponged around the edge with two colors this time, I like the effect it has on the card. The DP is from my stash, and so are the flowers and added a pearl on them as well to round it out.
