Fall Colors

This week at Come and Get It we have a Fall Colors challenge for you, hosted by Judy. We are sponsored by Fred She Said, and I am using the Fall Flowers, along with the pin pricking pattern that comes with it. I used Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip and Crushed Curry as my colors, to go with the image that was pre-colored. I added some gems for interest and that finished my card.

This week Buttons are the theme on Holly Jolly, as Judy has set the challenge, and were to use one or more buttons. I have done this musical card using the buttons for the notes. A simple card, but loved how it turned out. The colors are Ridinghood Red, and Old Olive, the ribbon is taffeta ribbon, by stampin up, that is the Ridinghood Red with a white trim, so pretty.

Happy Birthday Julie

Today is Julie's Birthday and over at Come and Get It we are having a Birthday challenge. I made this card using a stamp set I haven't used in a long while.  I have used the stamp set Fifth Ave. Floral for the image, and then used Happiest Birthday wishes for the sentiment. the colors are Pool Party, Island Indigo, and Coastal Cabana. The paper is from the Sale-A-Bration set called Sycamore Street. Lovely paper. Anyway I hope my friend Julie has a great day and that you all go over to her blog  and wish her a great day.

No Red Or Green for Christmas

Julie is our hostess this week at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge, and as asked us to no red or green on our Christmas cards. We are sponsored this week by Bugaboo Stamps. I have used JJ once again, and have used Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist and Melon Mambo as my colors. I am more of a tradtionalist, so don't have any Christmas papers that don't have the red or green in them, maybe I will have to remedy that, as I've seen some nice cards that don't use those colors. Hope to see you come over to Holly Jolly for our challenge. Lots of fun and you could win a prize from Bugaboo Stamps too.

On the side

Hi All, This week at Come and Get It we have a few new things happening, new look and a new challenge.
Shell is your hostess this week, and she wants to see your focal image on the side of the card, one side or the other. Easy. huh. Well I thought so, for my card I have used the Fabulous Florets Stamp set, along with the Elegant Lines embossing folder, and the sentiment is from a retired set called Watercolor Trio. I have used Garden Green and Rose Red for the colors, along with Whisper White. So pretty, the ribbon is the rose red seam binding ribbon, and the rhinestones are from my stash.  Anyway thanks for looking and go check out the new look and enter our new Challenge.

I will also enter into the following challenges

Au Natural

This week at Holly Jolly we have an Au Natural theme for you. So anything nature related and a Christmas Creation works. So what not come and join us. We are sponsored this week by FRED SHE SAID so  you could win some free digital images from Tracey Lynn.
For my card this week I've decided not to use our Sponsors image for my card, just thought I would be different this time around. For my card I used the Bright Hope stamp set by Stampin up. I've used the wreath and the greeting from it. I made a small fork bow for the top of the wreath and added some red gems to the wreath, it is bordered buy using Martha Stewart Punch around the page punch and then mounted onto white card stock. the colors are Always Artichoke and Cherry Cobbler, and I used the Cherrry Cobbler seam binding ribbon to make the bow.

If the Shoe Fits

This week at Come and Get It we have a great sketch to work with from Meighan. We are also Sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps, I am using the JJ Tequila and Shoes, If the Shoe Fits image, which is a great image of JJ in a new funky outfit, and of course Shoes. I have used Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo, and Rich Razzleberry to make the card, I've used the closest colors I have in Promarkers to color her, and notice the rose colored glasses. I thought it worked perfectly with her.  Oh and to make the ribbon, mixed acohol with re inker and then spritzed 5/8 satin ribbon with it the color you want, in my case Melon Mambo.
Another fun card to do. Thanks Meighan for the sketch.

Back to School/for a Child

Back to School is the theme at Crafting for all Seasons this week. I've done my card using punches and die cuts, all from Stampin Up. The owl made using the builder punch,  other than the eyes which are the googly type. The books made using the word window punch, and the letters die cut from the Timeless Type Alphabet Set.

Anything but a card Challenge

Hi Everyone, Over at Holly Jolly this week we are doing anything but a card challenge, so let's see some of those great holiday projects that your working on. Anyway for my project, I've used one of my favorite retired stamp sets from Stampin Up. A Cardinal Christmas and made coasters. and a box for them. The cardinal is stamped in stazon, then colored with Promarkers, the edge is stamped in Old Olive ink with the other stamp in the set, and then sponged around the edges. The background is the wonderfully worn background stamp by Stampin Up as well. I then sprayed them with a sealer, and put red felt on the back of them. I've made 4 for the box. I was thinking these would make the perfect gift for the staff at work.
