Krafty Kate

Hi Everyone, Here is a card I made this evening, using a image from Saturated Canary. Been practicing my coloring, with my Promarkers, and I'm really happy with the way she has turned out. I love the image. the background behind her is dots of colors that were used to color her outfit and the mat with the banners she's sitting on. I think it is a way cool technique, and will try it again in the future.

Monochromatic Christmas Challenge

This week at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges, Paige is our hostess, and she has decided on a monochromatic color challenge, for which I have decided to use Always Artichoke as my color. I have used the tree from the retired set from Stampin Up called Christmas Lodge, the sentiment is from the More Merry Messages set. I used ink on my embossing folder and then ran through the big shot, to get the background, then stamped the tree, and added sentiment and seam binding ribbon. A simple but effective card. Travel

Travel is the theme this week at Come and Get It, I don't really have much in the way of travel stamps from places, so my thought with this card is , being on vacation near the ocean where you would see the lighthouses, as where I live we don't have any of them. I have used the Stampin Up set Uncharted Territory to make the card, I have water colored it with water color crayons, on watercolor paper. The background was done using  The Open Sea Set, and then I used twine to tie it all together.  Thanks for looking

Tag It for Crafting for All Seasons

This is the tag I have made for the latest challenge at Crafting for All Seasons. I have used the stamp set Simply Sketched from Stampin Up along with the free hand butterflies from our sponsor A Day for Daisies.
The flower was color with inks and aqua brush using Calypso Coral and Crisp Cantaloupe, the leaves were done using Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive. the sponging around the flower is Pear Pizzazz, and Soft Sky. The butterflies were printed on retired paper from Stampin up. then colored with a sponge, then spritzed with vanilla smooch spritz. they are really sparkly, but the picture doesn't do them justice. Thanks for looking

Winter Sports

Hi Everyone, well it's Holly Jolly's newest challenge set by Judy this week, and she has asked us to do something with Winter Sports in mind, I thought of skiing or skating, but then came across this little fella from our Sponsor, Bugaboo Stamps, and just thought wouldn't he make a snow much fun card. So that's what I decided on. He is called  AKV- Winter Snowshoe. I have used my Promarkers to color him and the papers are from an old SEI pack called Winter Song, then the embellishments are the retired die from Stampin Up winter frost, and the color dots are the soft sky from Stampin up. I sponged the sky with this color too, and then used glitter for the snow, and used silver glitter paper for the snowflake. The greeting is from the Snow Much Fun set from Stampin Up as well. Now go on over to the blog and make a winter sports card and be in the running for some great stamps from Bugaboo.

Winged Things

This week at Come and Get It, Julie is our hostess and she has chosen Winged things as our theme. We are sponsored by Bugaboo again this week. I am using  Summer Butterfly Bear-Watermelon for my project.
I have used the new paper from Stampin up called mosaic madness along with new color Strawberry Slush and paired it with Daffodil Delight, and Basic Black. The flowers were some that were in my stash given to me by a friend at Christmas. I colored them with a spritzer filled  rubbing alcohol and Daffodil ink. I then colored the pearls with my permanent black marker. The greeting is from the Petite Pairs set from Stampin Up. Thanks for looking

Tag it for Crafting for all Seasons.

Over at Crafting for all Seasons this week we have a new challenge for you called TAG IT, I have made a tag, which included the freehand butterfly by a Day for Daisies, which is a digital image, which I printed on designer paper, and cut out, I've used the flower from the Simply Sketched set from Stampin Up a hostess set, so you have to have a party to earn it, It comes with another plant type image, and a bird image on grass, and some sayings too a perfect set. Anyway I used Crisp Cantaloupe, Calypso Coral, Pear Pizzazz, and Old Olive to color the image and I spritzed the butterflies, with some color and some vanilla smooch spritz so they are sparkly, but you can't see it in the picture. Glitter for Holly Jolly

Cindy

This week at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge, Julie is our hostess for the challenge and she has chosen the theme Glitter Galore, so she wants to see lots of glitter on our creations. For my card I have chosen to us the red glitter paper along with this lover paper from Stampin up for the focal image it as you can see the silver isn't silver anymore, which is because I coloured it using a mister filled with PoolParty ink along with  rubbing alcohol. I cut the die with the snow flurry die then Mounted it on Whisper White, which was cut to 5 by 3.75 inches, then mounted it onto a piece of Real Red cut to 5.25 by 4 which was mounted on to a card base of Pool Party. The greeting was stamped with Real Red, and is from the More Merry Messages set.
Thanks for looking, go check out the rest of the Design Team's cards and play along.
