Feathered Friends for Holly Jolly

Hi Everyone, This week at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge.we have a Tweet Christmas for you, the challenge is to use your feathered friends on your cards for Christmas. I chose to use the Beautiful Season set. I stamped it in Stazon and then water colored it with my aqua brush and inks. I used Basic Grey, So Saffron, Old Olive, Gumball Green, and Real Red. I stamped the bird a second time and water colored it again and popped it up.  I then mounted it on Real Red and put it on Naturals White. I stamped the greeting directly on the Naturals White. I then punched the Lace Ribbon Border punch out of Whisper white, then threaded some Old Olive 1/8 in ribbon through it and added some pearls. Thanks for looking, now go make a tweet card and share with us over at  Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge

Flight of the Butterfly

For my card this week for the Dynamic Duos challenge, I used the Flight of a Butterfly Stamp Set. It's a simple layout, with the butterfly stamped and punched out with the butterfly punch, and then smooched with frost white paint, gives it some shimmer. The rest of the card is very simple randomly stamped using the Marina Mist and the Bashful Blue. then I added the bow to the side of the card. The send panel is of Bashful blue, cut at 4.25 by 5.5 and then trimmed with the Adorning edgelit then this is put onto a base of Marina Mist. Thanks for looking

Window Cards for Come and Get It

For this weeks challenge at Come and Get It , Leslie is our host and has asked us to do window cards. Here is my take on this type of card. I have used the Because I Care set along with Oval All set. I have stamped the hydrangea in Stazon ink and water colored it with Rose Red, I did the leaves with Old Olive and Daffodil Delight. I used paper from the Twitterpated Designer Series paper on top of the Old Olive Card Stock , and cut my oval out of the front of the card. I've added some butterflies made with the sizzlet Beautiful Wings, and added pearls to the flower, butterflies and the front of the card, I stamped my greeting and punched it with the Large Oval and layered it with the Scalloped Oval in Old Olive, which was placed on a piece of Rose Red Seam Binding Ribbon.

Black and Yellow Fabulous Floret

This is my card for the Dynamic Duo's Color Challenge and the Stamping 411 Sketch
I've used Fabulous Florets, and Perfect Punches Stamp Sets. I used the new Apothecary Accents Framelits, black brads, XL oval punch, the Scalloped Border Punch, and to finish off the card, I used 5/8 black Satin Ribbon. I've decided just to use the colors and not the dessert option of dry embossing. I think the card has enough without it. Thanks for looking.

Happiness

The sketch and theme of the A La Card Monkey challenge is Joy, Nothing brings joy like a gift of a vase of flowers. It always brings a smile to the person who is receiving them. So this is where my idea came from for this week's sketch and theme. Thanks Terry and Shirley for inviting me once again to be a GD.

Christmas Stockings for Holly Jolly

Our Second challenge at Holly Jolly is hosted by Judy, and she has chosen a theme challenge, and that is Stockings, so she wants to see a Christmas Stocking or Stockings on your card this week. I loved the Stitched Stocking set and matching Punch by Stampin' Up, but sadly it hasn't been carried over. I have used both of these products for my card. I also used some of the beautiful glimmer paper, it's great stuff. I also used the Timeless type alphabet sizzlets for my letters. I  used the perfect polka dots embossing folder. I used Pacific Point and Silver for my card. I added some jingle bells onto the stockings with some dental floss. Thanks for looking I will also enter it into the following challenges.

Anyway this is my card using the sponsor's image, Isn't she sweet. I colored her with aqua brush and inks. The flowers were originally the vanilla ones from Stampin Up, that I had left, just put them into a small bit of water with re-inker color and let them dry. Anyway the sentiment is from Happiest Birthday set, which will be gone as of the 31st of this month. You would have to host a party to get it as it is a hostess set this year.

Let's hear it for the Boys/Men

Over at Come and Get It Challenges this week we have a theme challenge for you. I chose the theme this time around figuring that with Mothers being honored all over blog land I would be different. So I am asking everyone to make a card for a male in their lives, weather it be little guys or the big guys. I used the Lovely as a tree set, stamped it with Versamark and colored it with chalks. I cut it into a circle and mounted it on another circle, very simple. I used Chocolate Chip retired ribbon and the colors used were Chocolate Chip, Cajun Craze, and More Mustard. and a bit of Always Artichoke. Don't forget to check out the other designers blogs and give them some love too. We all love comments.

A Flutter of Pink

Here is a card I did for the Stamping 411 Challenge this week, I brought out a set that is retiring called Baroque Motifs, and also the Something to Celebrate set. The card is fairly simple but I like the pop of Melon Mambo against the vanilla and subtle colors around it.
