Santa's Famous Reindeer

Hi everyone, This post was here this morning, and somehow it's not here now, so I will do it again. This card was made with the new Joyous Celebrations set, using the Oval and the Deer from it, the deer was embossed with Cherry Cobbler, and Early Espresso embossing powder, the oval stamped in Always Artichoke. I used the sentiment from a retired set from last year Pines and Poinsettia's. The Decorative oval was embossing using the new Holiday Oval Embossing Folder then sanded, to give the new Co-ordinations card stock the look of the two different shades of brown, gorgeous. then I added seam binding, and brads to finish off the card. It's all mounted on Always Artichoke card stock as well. Thanks for looking.
This was done for the Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge.

A Red and Green Christmas

A simple Christmas card this time using the new Scentsational Christmas set, and matching dies, gotta love that. Anyway the colors are Raspberry Ripple and Gumball Green, The saying is from the Happy Hour Stamp set, and the paper is the new Be of Good Cheer set of paper. Just love how easy this card came together. the sticks are pieces of the candy cane cut down and the steam was also stamped and cut out, then I cut a slit into the chocolate to add them. Monochromatic Christmas

Hi Everyone, Over at Holly Jolly  Christmas Challenge this week I'm the hostess and have asked to see a monochromatic Christmas card or project. I just love the look of all the same color in different hues for Christmas. So come over and join us. For my card I did a triple layer card using the retired set Serene Snowflakes done in blues. I used Pacific Point, Not Quite Navy, and Marina Mist. The ribbon is the scalloped dots ribbon in Marina Mist. Very versatile as there is one side with polka dots the other plain.

Come and Get It Sketch Challenge

Hi All, Here is my card for the Come and Get It Sketch Challenge this week. Oh by the way we are looking for some guest designers for the blog, go and check it out. For my card I've used a few retired things, the Northern Frost Die that made the snowflakes, and I used the stamp set Sparkly and Bright, for the sentiment as it was a perfect fit to the card, but the rest of the items used, like the background on the white is snowflakes that I placed on the card, then spritzed with the silver foil, schmooch spritz, and then I used the vanilla shimmer on the snowflakes and sentiment tag, which was made using the Decorative Label Punch and the Large Oval punch, stamping the sentiment in Marina Mist, which I used to make the snowflakes and the other card stock is the Brushed Silver, and Whisper White. That's one more for the Christmas Stash which is growing up to 181 now.
Thanks for looking.

A Sketch Challenge for Holly Jolly

This is my card using the sketch by Julie, She is away right now and we have a great GD Paige Grabau, so she will be choosing our winner in Julie's absence. We also have a sponsor so that means you can win. My card is made using our sponsor's image. It is colored using Raspberry Ripple, Gumball Green, Primrose Petals. all colored with watercolor brush and inks. There is some dazzling details on the lights of her dress and some dazzling diamonds on her hat and on the cuff of the boot she's holding. For the sentiment I used the Merry Christmas from the Petite Pairs. and the ribbon is the new Satin Stitched Ribbon in Gumball Green.

Fall Colors

Color Challenge over at Come and Get It this week, and I'm your host. I chose the colors for this challenge as thinking the early signs of fall and all the beautiful colors that you see. The changing of the leaves going from Green to a Gold Color, Red, Orange, or a brown. It's so pretty, so this is where my inspiration came from. The background of my card is using the Falling Leaves set, which is a two step stamping, and I chose to do the line images all in the early espresso, then used Cherry Cobbler, More Mustard and Pumpkin Pie to stamp the insides of the leaves. I didn't use the stamp majig this time as I wasn't worried it the lines were off a bit. as I like that look for this card. I then colored in the image from our sponsor using the same colorrs.

Black and White Christmas

Hi Everyone over at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges, Meighan is challenging us to take inspiration from the photo and make a card. I've taken the colors of the black and white that seems to be prominent in the furniture and the rug. So that's where I started from. I love the set Come to Bethlehem, which is available in the catalogue or as a digital download. Thanks for looking. Please go to Holly Jolly and check out the other designer's cards.

Birthday Wishes

Over at Come and Get It this week we are to do an adult birthday, I made this card using The Open Sea Set from Stampin Up. I used Pool Party, Island Indigo and Crumb Cake for the card. The water and sky background was done using a wax paper technique which was really easy and fun to do. You can find a video here on Karen Phillips blog. She is another demo who made the video after me asking her how to do the technique. I stamped the ship onto the background then colored in the sales with Crumb Cake. The Crumb Cake side piece was stamped using the ships log and then the compass and the anchor from the set, I also stamped the anchor on a separate piece and fussy cut it out and used Pool Party twine to finish that section of the card, the last thing was the greeting which came from another set, which was stamped in Crumb Cake and cut with the small oval punch and then I added and extra couple of ovals to make the border of it and then added 3 silver brads. That's it. Thanks for looking

My Favorite Things

Playing with the Come to Bethlehem Set today and this is one of a few cards that I've done. It uses the sketch at the Stamping 411 Challenge, so thought I would post it for that challenge as well as for the Crafty Hazelnut Challenge for Favorite Colors, which mine is Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso. I used the cracked glass technique on the photo I then framed it with champagne glass glitter, used some rhinestones the retired Cherry Cobbler Ribbon and put it on a piece of the new co-ordinations paper sanded after putting through the vintage wallpaper embossing folder. and mounted it all on Cherry Cobbler.  So all in  all we have a number of my favorite things, Colors, style (vintage), and it all works with a sketch.
Thanks for looking.
