Merry Christmas from Wags'n Whiskers

Hi everyone, it is a pleasure to be sharing this card I have made using an image from Wags' Whiskers called Dani and Bella. I have used Promarkers to color her in traditional Christmas colors. Then have made a simple layout to show her off. She is such a sweet image. The papers are from my stash, one is Stampin' Up, and the other is from a DCVW stack. The flowers are prima, the brads used on the flowers are retired, and the corner Stampin' Up, and the greeting is from a set called Petite Pairs from Stampin' Up.

Thanks for looking.

Anything Goes Christmas Challenge and Blog Hop

Hi Everyone, It's been a busy week first we had the blog hop for Come and Get It now onto another one for Holly Jolly. The theme again is Christmas as usual at Holly Jolly but this time it is Anything goes. We have some great sponsors and some lovely prizes available to be won. go and check it out. Not only that but we are also welcoming our New Design Team Members Anne, Carol, Linda and Joey. Welcome aboard ladies. Oh and that isn't all, come back on the 18th of the month for some more great inspiration too.

Christmas Robin from Digi Stamps 4 Joy

For my first card I have used an Image from Digi Stamps 4 Joy called Christmas Robin. As you can tell I am a bird lover at heart, so any images with birds on them I just adore. So I had to have this one LOL. I used water colors to color him then fussy cut him out. He is on a Garden Green panel embossed with a holly leaves embossing folder, and then put onto the beaded circle die cut, with the rhinestones. I then used a back panel of Always Artichoke that was embossed with the same folder. I've added the piece of silver glimmer paper, for some interest and sparkle. and used Ridinghood  taffetta ribbon.
Thanks for looking.

My Second card is a Saturated Canary Image- Noelcarols for Stamp and Create. I have colored her with Promarkers, then cut her out and layered her on top of another image, so that I still had the music notes in the background. I've used retired paper behind her as well as Real Red card stock embossed with swirls. the jingle bells are a die cut from Memory Box, which I've cut out of champagne glimmer paper. The ribbon and bow are old olive taffeta ribbon, then I've added some color dots in real red to the top of the card.
Thanks for looking
Cindy
Well that's it for my cards for this part of the hop I hope you've enjoyed them and look forward to seeing you on the 18th. But before you go the letter from my blog is the first letter of the the persons name on the next stop.    Now you will continue onto Anne's blog.

No Patterned Paper

This week at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge, It's Paige that is hosting this week and she has asked us to create a card using no patterned paper. So I decided to try out my new dies I got recently from Memory Box. I sponged the background with Blue Sky ink then added the trees that were cut out from the die, then sponged with Smokey Slate, I then added the foreground of white glitter paper to make it look like hills, then mounted the deer trio onto the snow. I used the Blue Sky card stock as a border, then mounted it onto a piece of white which I stamped the greeting from The Christmas Lodge set, then mounted it all onto a base of Chocolate Chip.Check out the other beauties at the blog .
Thanks for looking,

Monochromatic Christmas Challenge

This week at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges, Paige is our hostess, and she has decided on a monochromatic color challenge, for which I have decided to use Always Artichoke as my color. I have used the tree from the retired set from Stampin Up called Christmas Lodge, the sentiment is from the More Merry Messages set. I used ink on my embossing folder and then ran through the big shot, to get the background, then stamped the tree, and added sentiment and seam binding ribbon. A simple but effective card. Day 6 of Christmas in July with Bugaboo- Tag it

For today's challenge at Catch the Bug  it is to use a tag on your project, well I decided to go with a 3d project. I made a box from the top note die from Stampin Up, and used ribbon for the handle, the front is decorated with little sparkle stamp from Sparkly and Bright set by Stampin Up, along with the Greeting, is from the Four the Seasons set, the Star is a chipboard piece that I painted with an  Adirondak sponge dauber in gold, then I added the rhinestones to the edge and in the center I used the image from Bugaboo called Elf Pocket, which was colored and cut out and popped onto the star with dimensionals, The tag has the same elf on it and is another image from Bugaboo called Christmas Tags- Elf. I thought this turned out rather cute having the elf and the tag matching Anyway thanks for looking.

Day 4 of Christmas in July at Bugaboo - Bingo

[clip_image006_thumb3.gif]

Day 3 of the Christmas in July week at Bugaboo calls for a bingo card, so I've made my card using Old World Santa 1, I've colored him with Promarkers, distressed the edges with my distressing tool, and sponged it with Old Olive Ink, I distressed all the paper, which is from my stash then used pearls and lace ribbon to finish off the vintage look. I stamped my greeting from the Winter Post set from Stampin Up onto the card, above the ribbon. So for the bingo I have the middle line of Distress, Red and Green, and Bugaboo Image, or I have the diagonal line of Pearls, Red and Green and Ribbon, or the bottom line of Ribbon, Bugaboo Image, and Sentiment. or the top line if you count the red border
around the card, Distressing and Pearls. Thanks for looking.

Lots of Layers for Holly Jolly

Cindy

Julie is the hostess at Holly Jolly this week and she's asked us to use lots of layers on our projects this week. I started off with Tempting Turquoise base, The next layer is actually two layers in one, using a technique called inlaid embossing. I cut the white to be 4.25 by 5.25, then added two triangles onto the card using Daffodil Delight, I then ran them through my big shot using a folder from Cuttlebug. I then added another layer of Turquoise and then the image, which is two images, Desiree Sitter, and Candy Cane, I combined them using Paint Shop Pro, printed them out and colored. Then after that was added, I embellished it with a ribbon, button, and twine.
Thanks for looking. Now hop over to the blog, check out the other creations by the DT and join us won't you.

Boy on Ornament for Holly Jolly

Over at Holly Jolly this week, it's Meighan hosting the challenge and she's asked for 3 embellishments and we are sponsored by Bugaboo, so I've used Michael Sitter and Furbac Ornament from Bugaboo and combined them to make a sweet image. I've colored it using promarkers, I've used Elegant Eggplant, Daffodil Delight, and Rich Razzleberry . For my embellishments, you could count just the buttons, or the buttons as one, then the ribbon and glitter as the other two. The sentiment is from the That's the Ticket set from Stampin Up. I stamped it and punched it out, then cut around, then punched a second one and layered it.Thanks for looking.

Embossing and Ribbon For Holly Jolly

Embossing and Ribbon on a Christmas Card are the only requirements at Holly Jolly this week. Easy you say, well it all depends on how you look at it I guess. I had this card in mind and then I was not sure about the ribbon, so I ended up using it at the top of the ornament. I suppose I could have used a different image and did a different card, but I love these ornaments, so thought better use it again. Anyway my card has both heat and dry embossing on it, the ornament and sentiment were embossed using the Cherry Cobbler embossing powder, the background behind the ornament was embossed using the snowburst embossing folder. and then to give it some glitz I backed it onto some glimmer paper. and added my white taffetta ribbon to finish the card. Creative Folds at Holly Jolly

Cindy

This week Paige is the hostess, and she's asked us to make a card using a creative fold.  I chose to do a diamond fold card.  It's the first time for me to try this fold. I used the retired set serene snowflakes to create my card. I used the colors of Pool Party, Regal Rose and Crumb Cake.  To add just a bit of sparkle, I used some dazzling details in the center of the snowflakes on the side panels.
