Winged Things

This week at Come and Get It, Julie is our hostess and she has chosen Winged things as our theme. We are sponsored by Bugaboo again this week. I am using  Summer Butterfly Bear-Watermelon for my project.
I have used the new paper from Stampin up called mosaic madness along with new color Strawberry Slush and paired it with Daffodil Delight, and Basic Black. The flowers were some that were in my stash given to me by a friend at Christmas. I colored them with a spritzer filled  rubbing alcohol and Daffodil ink. I then colored the pearls with my permanent black marker. The greeting is from the Petite Pairs set from Stampin Up. Thanks for looking

321 Challenge

Hi, Well it's time again for another challenge at Come and Get It, this week I'm the hostess, and I've chosen a 321 challenge.

3 embellishments
2 designer papers
1 ribbon/twine

For my card I used the Gingham Garden Papers, the Secret Garden Flowers and Framelit dies, The colors are Night of Navy, Melon Mambo, Island Indigo, and Daffodil Delight. For my embellishments I used pearls on the flowers. The ribbon is actually the 1/8 in white ribbon, which I dyed using my Island Indigo ink pad and sponge, and then the sentiment is a silver embossed one I've had for a while. Thanks for looking, now go check out the other designers cards and play along, It's really a simple challenge.

Babies is the Theme

Cindy

Babies are the theme this week at Come and Get It, who can resist them, and it is always a pleasure to give a card to a new mom, so they can put it in the new scrapbook for the baby, or just hang on to show them when they are older. I am always being asked to make new ones for people I know to give to others, so I am asking to show us your baby cards. I decided to do a non generic one for my card, as I know most of the time now a days people do know what they are having in advance,  but every now and then you get a couple who have decided they don't want to know and want to be surprised, so this is for them. I have chosen for the image and sentiment on my card are  from the Embellished Events set from Stampin Up. I have also used the 2.5 inch scalloped circle punch and the large delicate doilies die to make the white piece. The image was stamped twice and I cut out the duck the second time to put up on dimensions. The ribbon and background paper are both retired, then the button is from the subtles collection and I used a small piece of baker's twine for the bow. Thanks for looking
