This week Judy is our hostess and she has given us a sketch to work with. I have used a couple sets that I got way back in March I think it was and never used from Stampin Up called Feeling Sentimental. and Pretty Petites, part of the SALE-A-BRATION sets this past year. I also used a new set called Gorgeous Grunge. Great for backgrounds and stuff, just love it. I have used Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake for the colors. I have used the First Edition Designer paper, bottle cap, Simple Silver Buttons, Cherry Cobbler twine. Thanks for a great sketch and thanks for looking.

Open Sea Collage
This week at Come and Get It we have an interesting challenge, set by Judy. We are to do collage stamping. I've not done a lot of this in the past. For my card I have used The Open Sea set by Stampin up to do my collage, and for the designer papers it is from the Nautical Expedition set, which retired, but available on MDS. I have added cherry cobbler bakers twine and a compass charm to add interest. I've decided to leave off a greeting this time as I figure it can be used for any type of occasion. Thanks for looking

From the Recyling Bin
Hi Everyone, Judy has the challenge this week at Come and Get It, and it is to use something on your card from the recyling bin, well I took some newspaper and made the flower on my card, I punched out 5 large scalloped circles, and 4 small ones, and then spritzed them with a combination of alcohol, and re inker, and frost white paint, so it is very sparkly, then sponged on some darker blue around the edges. The brad in the center is one of the antique brads from Stampin Up. The white layer is embossed with the fancy fan folder, then added some retired satin ribbon, and then added the banner, made using the banner framelits and the itty bitty banner stamp set.

Sketch Challenge
For this week we have a sketch challenge at come and get it, I actually made the sketch in My digitial Studio, trying to work on a few things using the new software. It's another Christmas Card I know, but yeah it's new stamps from Stampin' Up available July 1st, when the new catalogue comes out. It's called pennant parade and it has some really cool pennants and accesories with it, also they have a punch to make it even easier to make them. Anyway thanks for Looking have a great Sunday and a great week.

Color Challenge at Come and Get It
Hi Everyone, I know it's been a while since I've posted but It's been a really busy time for me in the past while. Last weekend I was part of a street festival here in my home town. I had a booth there so I have been busy getting ready for it. It was a great day and had a great time. After that I was busy with meetings, and just doing a whole bunch of different things. I still haven't even put the stuff away from the Street Festival, but my goal today is to get that stuff put away and get my house back in some sort of order, but before I do that I have a card to show you which was used a double purpose. As Yesterday I went to a get together for demonstrators only put on by the lovely Heather Summers. She is a wonderful personable person. I learned a lot from her and she was very generous with her knowledge as well as with her workshops. Thanks Heather. Anyway I did this card for a swap that we had during this event, and I also made it for the Come and Get it Color Challenge. Hope you all like it. Thanks for stopping in

Come and Get it Technique Challenge- Faux Linen
Hi Everyone, This week is was my turn over at come and get it challenge blog to decide on the technique, I chose Faux Linen, since I hadn't done it in a while and I really like the look of the technique. I also wanted to show that it can be done as part of the main image or can be done as a background technique. If you go over to the blog, there are some great ways of using this technique and a link to a video so you can come and play with us.
My first card is done using the Lovely as a Tree Set, and I used a retired set called riveting for the sentiment.
The second card is done using the Fast and Fabulous Set, the Wonderfully Worn Background and the Sentiment is from Whimsical Words Set

Come and Get it Sketch Challenge
This week over at Come and Get It, Shell had a sketch for us to use in creating our card. So this is the result of the sketch. I moved the bow over, as it wouldn't fit where it is in the sketch, but other than that I think I like the result.
For this card I used the sweet and sour designer paper, and paired it up with basic black. The stamp set for the flower is a new one out of the summer mini catalogue called Flower Fest, The words come from a retired set called very versatile. and I used the little leaves die for the leaves and the rose red seam binding ribbon to finish it off, the black strip behind is punched with the double scalloped border punch.
Thanks for looking.

Color Challenge
At the Come and Get It Challenge blog this week it was Julie's turn to pick the challenge for our color combination. So she picked Olive Green, Peach, and Light Green. Wow, I found that very difficult to work with. But I did manage to finally come up with something. Here are the results.
For this card I used the new fun flower die from Stamping Up. Oh what pretty flowers you can make. I cut out the bottom layer of the flower with the Sunny Garden Designer Paper, the second layer is Peach Parfait card stock. I crinkled them all up and then added a bit of ink to the edges to distress them a bit. I added an olive green button and some linen thread to finish off the flower. The background was using old olive designer paper from the color packs, on a piece of pear pizazz, then I ran it through the tulips border embossing folder, and adhered it to a piece of peach parfait card stock. before I did that though I added a piece of pear pizazz scalloped cardstock across the middle, and then pear pizazz ribbon and tied a knot. the greeting is from the tiny tags set and I used markers to color the flower in peach parfait and the hello in pear pizazz. I tied it onto the ribbon with linen thread

Color Challenge
For this week Leslie one of the other designers of the Come and Get it Challenge, came up with this color challenge.
which I think are very pretty spring colors, and since it is Easter next weekend, figured I would do an easter card. I have had this pattern for stitched cards for a long time and have only used it once before this, so I thought it was a perfect choice for this challenge.
I used silk threads to embroider the design and added nailheads to the design and stamped Happy Easter on the finished stitched design. I will also enter this into the HSS Challenge, which is Easter projects
Thanks for Looking and have a great Sunday
