Merry Christmas From Crafting for all Seasons

Hi everyone, welcome once again, this fortnight we have an anything but a card challenge for you, and the project I have done is something I have wanted to do for a while now. It is a matchbox advent calendar. I used Pool Party card stock along with a matchbox  die to make all the boxes, punching out the half circles from them to be able to open them out, and then glued them together to form a square.  I have used the winter frost designer paper to decorate the sides. The images on the side panel are from Lacy Sunshine, the one is called Snowflake Quality Control, the other is Bubbles skiing, I have used Promarkers to color the images, and then cut them out using a memory box die set which was also used for the border using Silver glimmer paper. The numbers were stamped using Designer Typeset from Stamping Up, the first Photo Polymer set they came out with. Then punched using a 1/2 inch circle punch. The ribbon on the top and bottom is the 3/8 ruffled pool party ribbon from Stampin Up.l  For the top I made the final box and added the lettering dies for the date, and decorated it with a bow, which I also made the foil striped sheet from the designer paper pack.
I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas, and a great 2014.
Thanks for looking.
Cindy

Creative Folds at Holly Jolly

Cindy

This week Paige is the hostess, and she's asked us to make a card using a creative fold.  I chose to do a diamond fold card.  It's the first time for me to try this fold. I used the retired set serene snowflakes to create my card. I used the colors of Pool Party, Regal Rose and Crumb Cake.  To add just a bit of sparkle, I used some dazzling details in the center of the snowflakes on the side panels.

Hi Everyone, at Holly Jolly this week it is Meighan's turn for the challenge and she is asking us to use at least 2 dies or punches on our creation, an easy challenge for sure, look forward to seeing everyone's work. We have a sponsor this week which is Bugaboo, the image I've used is called; Eggbert Snowballs. Isn't he cute. The colors I've used is Pool Party, Calypso Coral and Island Indigo, which is what I colored him with, adding the glitter for the snow of course, The sketch is from an old sketch I saved in my file. I have used square dies, scalloped edglit die, a scalloped circle die and a 1 inch circle punch and snowflake die for the sentiment, pretty easy huh. Snowflakes/Snowmen

Snowflakes and Snowmen are our theme this week at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge, We are sponsored this week by Bugaboo, and you can win. Go check out the details at the blog. For my card I decided to make a tag pocket card, just as a change of pace. I've used the Marshmallow Snowman birdhouse, and colored him with aqua painter and inks using Island Indigo, Real Red, Pool Party and Soft Sued. I used a cuttlebug embossing folder for the snowflake panel and embossed it with iridescent ice embossing powder, the sentiment is from Hero arts, and the snowflakes on the background of it and of the tag are from Jolly Old St. Nick set from Stampin' Up. The designer paper is from the Festive Prints set from Stampin Up. and the ribbon is a grosgrain real red retired ribbon.

Using new stamps at Fairy Tale Challenges

IMG_0205

Hi Everyone, well it's time again for another challenge at the Fairy Tale Challenge Blog. This week we have been asked to use our newest stamp in our collection. Well I have several to choose from since I had just received an order from Stampin Up. I decided on the Daydream Medallions set, it is a set designed to go with the floral framelit dies. I like that you can now get stamps to go with the dies, makes it so easy for cutting out. I used three different medallions from the set to make the main panel on the card. The colors I've used are Primrose Petals, Pool Party and Basic Grey. The Designer paper is from the Comfort Cafe paper pack,  I also used a new embossing folder which can be gotten for free if you spend $60.00 or more of Stampin Up Goodies during Sale-A-Bration, which begins on the 22nd of Jan.
