Embroidered Ornament

Hi Everyone, I love to combine different techniques I've learned over the years into my card making, so this is a christmas card I just finished. The ornament is a sticker that is gold and clear shimmery and then the holes are for embroidery, so that's what I've done with it. The stamping on the edge is the sparkle and shine wheel out of the new mini catalogue which you can order from Tomorrow. there are lots of cool things in it, come back and take a look at it then.
I used gold pen around the edges of the red and finished it off with an embossed sticker greeting. The ornament stickers and embossed greetings can be purchased at www.ecstasycrafts.com Thanks againd for looking

In Colors with Upsy Daisy Stamp Set.

For this card I used one of my favorite stamp sets, Upsy Daisy and I used all but one of the new In Colors from Stampin up. How I love these new colors Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry and Dusty Durango. I just love them all, even the Soft Suede. I'll use it on a card soon. Anyway I used the new in color markers to do this card, and then water with it, to give it the water color effect. Oh I'm so glad they have the markers now too. Well anyway it's all backed onto some Melon mambo, then onto some of the Razzleberry Lemonade DP and then onto Bermuda Bay.
Thanks for looking.

Chrstmas is on its way

These two cards are similar but at the same time give you a different feel. I have used the Delightful Decorations set for both as well as the sparkle and shine wheel. The first was done on white using real red ink along with silver and gold embossed ornaments, and the second was silver paper from stash, and used gold embossing on both ornaments and wheel. I decided to put the ornaments on an angle on the second one and though oh they don't really need ribbon or strings, where as by having them straight on the first thought they needed it. Anyway Christmas is on its way, so you'll probably be seeing alot of different Christmas cards from me over the next while as I have orders from customers coming in, so I really need to buckle down and get going on them. Have a great day and see ya soon. Thanks for looking.

Stamptacular Challenge- Bears

For this week the challenge at Sunday Stamptacular Challenge was to make something with a bear, anything as long as it had a bear on it somewhere and there was stamping involved. So my first project is a tag, I have to do a bunch of them for a lady who is making gift baskets at a store for Babies, and she asked me to make the tags for the baskets. So here is the first one of 12. She wants 2 of each yellow, white, and green and then 3 each of pink and blue. I have some time to do them as she's away on vacation until about mid September, but better to have them done early than forget and then have to rush.

The second project I decided to do was a card. I used a digital stamp from Dustin Pike, colored him in with Stampin up markers in creamy caramel pumpkin pie, really red, and green galore. I used Close to Cocoa ink for the sentiment and the ribbon was from my stash. and the dp is retired Stampin up Sweet Always from last year.
Thanks for looking and have a great day.

More Sympathy Cards

Here are two more sympathy cards, yeah I know I've been doing a lot of them lately. Well these two are part of an order I have for Sympathy and Get Well cards, I'm to do 3 of each for men and 3 of each for women. So this is two of the ones I've done for a man sympathy.
The first one is the faux wood technique for the frame and behind the tree. It's very simple to do, go check it out over at split coast stampers. The tree was stamped using Old Olive originally and then I used Chalk to add the color then used a matte finish fixative to finish it off. I also used a piece of the wood for the background of the sentiment as well.
Before I did the first card, I had actually been playing around with the lovely as a tree set and came up with the picture on the second card first. Well I just cut it out mounted it on Green and then put corners on with the copper snaps. I then mounted it on Night of Navy and to match the copper of the snaps I used versamark on the sentiment then heat embossed in copper.
Both these cards also qualify for the Pile it on Challenge
Thanks for Looking.

Stamptacular challenge

For this week's Stamptacular challenge you had to use 3 brads, 2 different patterned papers and a flower on your card. I thought about doing a Tilda card or something else, but then decided to do something with the simple friendship set. The flower is an embosslit die from SU, the ribbon is also SU, so saffron and the bashful blue, the paper is one that is retired, as I'm trying to use up the lot I bought. It was the Bella Bird paper. Anyway Hope you like it. Thanks for looking.

Close as a Memory

These are two sympathy cards I've made for a resident to give to a couple of other residents in the condo where I work, They both lost their husbands this past week. It's hard sometimes working at a place for so long and you get to know some of the residents. I will miss one of the gentlemen especially, as he was a warm hearted gentleman and always had a smile on his face and a friendly hello. He was taken way to young, only 69 years old, but had some health issues, such as lupus, which attacks all the organs eventually. Anyway I hope that these cards will give the two ladies a bit of comfort during this time.
The first card was done with the thoughts and prayers set on a shaving cream background, which I had left over from a class I had taught a while ago. The second card is the close as a memory set. Thanks for looking.

Birthday Drums

This is a card I made today for a customer of mine who asked for an embroidery card of drums for her son's birthday.
