Meighan's Sketch Challenge

Hi Everyone, well this time around at Holly Jolly Meighan has given us a sketch to work with. It's a fairly simple sketch and I love the way it came out. I have used Serene Snowflakes (retired) from Stampin Up, but a favorite set of mine still. which I have stamped using Real Red, Early Espresso, and Primrose Petals. a different combination for sure. The paper for the flags is from the retired Christmas paper from last year called Candlelight Christmas. the ribbon is also retired Satin in Early Espresso, the sentiment is from the Petite Pairs set, and the rhinestones from my stash. Retirement Cards

 

Sketch time at Come and Get It this week. Julie has provided us with the sketch.  My card was made for a gentleman that asked me to make him two retirement cards. One if for a male and the other a female, this is what I came up with for the male. The card was made using the Open Sea set from Stampin up along with the Teeny Tiny wishes set. The background of the ship was masked then sponged with Soft Sky and Bermuda Bay. then took the mask off and stamped the ship image in Early Espresso. The designer paper is retired from the Woodland walk set, which  is available as a download. The sentiment was stamped on an oval then sponged with Bermuda Bay, and then mounted onto Artisan Label punch which will be available on May 31st. Oh the Soft Sky and Bermuda Bay are colors coming back into the core colors of Stampin Up as of May 31 as well. Thanks for looking. The second card is not the sketch but the second card I made for the lady retiring.

This week we have a sketch challenge for you at Come and Get It Challenges, made by me. Well it's a fairly simple sketch and you can glam it up or just do the simple sketch that it is. For my card I  have used some paper flowers that were given to me at Christmas from a great friend of mine. I've also used the Mocha Morning Designer paper and the champagne glimmer paper. I also used the sizzlets die Beautiful wings. the sentiment is from a retired set called on your birthday. Thanks for looking

A Sketch for this week at Holly Jolly

 

This is my card for Holly Jolly this week. We are sponsored by Fred She Said this week, but I chose to use my own Idea for the card this time. For Christmas from one of the residents where I work, they gave me a box of goodies as they know I do card making and such. They bought me a few stamps a bunch of paper flowers, and also some stickers. This tree is one of the stickers from the recollections set that she bought. Its very pretty and just fit the sketch perfectly. I've paired it with real red and used some of the champagne glimmer paper. Also I used the sentiment from the Petite Pairs set.
