Ribbon or Lace

Hi Everyone, Here's my card for the first one of the year for the Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge. We are Sponsored by Bugaboo, and I've used one of the A Kid's View stamps from them called Star Ornament. I thought he was adorable, and when I chose him of course I wasn't thinking about the challenge, but thought ok I can do this, so this is the result of using ribbon or lace on my card. I colored him with Promarkers and have added a few star brads to the card. and left the rest pretty simple.
Thanks for looking.

Anything Goes Christmas Challenge and Blog Hop

Hi Everyone, It's been a busy week first we had the blog hop for Come and Get It now onto another one for Holly Jolly. The theme again is Christmas as usual at Holly Jolly but this time it is Anything goes. We have some great sponsors and some lovely prizes available to be won. go and check it out. Not only that but we are also welcoming our New Design Team Members Anne, Carol, Linda and Joey. Welcome aboard ladies. Oh and that isn't all, come back on the 18th of the month for some more great inspiration too.

Christmas Robin from Digi Stamps 4 Joy

For my first card I have used an Image from Digi Stamps 4 Joy called Christmas Robin. As you can tell I am a bird lover at heart, so any images with birds on them I just adore. So I had to have this one LOL. I used water colors to color him then fussy cut him out. He is on a Garden Green panel embossed with a holly leaves embossing folder, and then put onto the beaded circle die cut, with the rhinestones. I then used a back panel of Always Artichoke that was embossed with the same folder. I've added the piece of silver glimmer paper, for some interest and sparkle. and used Ridinghood  taffetta ribbon.
Thanks for looking.

My Second card is a Saturated Canary Image- Noelcarols for Stamp and Create. I have colored her with Promarkers, then cut her out and layered her on top of another image, so that I still had the music notes in the background. I've used retired paper behind her as well as Real Red card stock embossed with swirls. the jingle bells are a die cut from Memory Box, which I've cut out of champagne glimmer paper. The ribbon and bow are old olive taffeta ribbon, then I've added some color dots in real red to the top of the card.

Inspired by a Christmas Carol

This week at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge, Meighan, is our hostess, and she has asked us to make a card inspired by a carol, I have chosen the set by Stampin up called Evergreen, which as the words to Silent Night on it. I love this set. I  have stamped it on velum in pear pizzazz, and Early Espresso, then cut out with oval and place a very vanilla oval behind, I then used designer paper from last year's Candlelight Christmas set, and cut it out using the Apothecary die. I used champagne glitter paper for the star and scallops, then finished it of with a double bow and ribbon using the vanilla seam binding. Thanks for looking

Winter Sports

Hi Everyone, well it's Holly Jolly's newest challenge set by Judy this week, and she has asked us to do something with Winter Sports in mind, I thought of skiing or skating, but then came across this little fella from our Sponsor, Bugaboo Stamps, and just thought wouldn't he make a snow much fun card. So that's what I decided on. He is called  AKV- Winter Snowshoe. I have used my Promarkers to color him and the papers are from an old SEI pack called Winter Song, then the embellishments are the retired die from Stampin Up winter frost, and the color dots are the soft sky from Stampin up. I sponged the sky with this color too, and then used glitter for the snow, and used silver glitter paper for the snowflake. The greeting is from the Snow Much Fun set from Stampin Up as well. Now go on over to the blog and make a winter sports card and be in the running for some great stamps from Bugaboo.

Creative Folds at Holly Jolly

Cindy

This week Paige is the hostess, and she's asked us to make a card using a creative fold.  I chose to do a diamond fold card.  It's the first time for me to try this fold. I used the retired set serene snowflakes to create my card. I used the colors of Pool Party, Regal Rose and Crumb Cake.  To add just a bit of sparkle, I used some dazzling details in the center of the snowflakes on the side panels.

A Sketch for this week at Holly Jolly

IMG_0193 (631x800)
This is my card for Holly Jolly this week. We are sponsored by Fred She Said this week, but I chose to use my own Idea for the card this time. For Christmas from one of the residents where I work, they gave me a box of goodies as they know I do card making and such. They bought me a few stamps a bunch of paper flowers, and also some stickers. This tree is one of the stickers from the recollections set that she bought. Its very pretty and just fit the sketch perfectly. I've paired it with real red and used some of the champagne glimmer paper. Also I used the sentiment from the Petite Pairs set.
